No matter how far along progression came, it never seemed to be an absolute. Someone, something, somewhere in some way was being left behind. Gentrification made shady neighborhoods high real estate and the people who lived in the slums of it were displaced because they suddenly couldn't afford the costs of living in the new and improved. Rezoning efforts might make a shoddy downtown the new booming area of the map while leaving coasts and borderlines elsewhere in the city neglected. It was hard to imagine that Slateport would let any area fall so far behind any other, but it shouldn't have been. Bias, preferences and at times inequity was the natural laws above all. Far from Sénon to complain now; the abandonment of development of Slateport's outskirts made for a perfect nesting ground for poison and dark types, or so he'd heard. Aside from more training for the team via hunting any pokémon of any type, a dark and/or poison type would be a diverse add to the team. So long as none of his six got hit with 'Stench' he wouldn't have to wander too far from the populous area of the city to find a new addition. He winced at the possibility of having to try to get such a stink off one of his own team so that wild pokémon wouldn't keep away. "...'Max Repel', eat your heart out."
