After that little fiasco with the Cacnea, it was time for him to chase down the last, missing piece of his wish list once and for all.

Had Alexei not fucked up the Lurantis swarm that had come by before he would be totally done now, but no—a monkey wrench prevented him from ending his sojourn into the Petalburg Woods in peace. He sighed, how had he never felt so drained before just looking for one last Pokémon?!

It was like the Scorbunny Trials, only worse, because there were (at least to his estimate) twice as many Grass Pokémon as compared to Fire-types and it was secretly driving him mad.

His expedition in the Petalburg Woods continued.

Even after he’d caught the Cacnea, he was still looking for the freaking Lurantis… or even the younger version of the Pokémon in question!

Unfortunately, the first Pokémon that he encountered was the… wait. Checking his PokéGear just to be sure, he then blinked at the Quilladin before giving it a wide berth as he left it alone in order to continue searching.

Nope, not here! He thought to himself as he went in another direction, wondering if he would have gotten even more lost than he had the last time.

“What the heck are you supposed to be?” he inquired as he tilted his head to one side in confusion, because what was growing out of its head?!

“Huh,” he added a few moments later before giving the Gogoat a wide berth.

It wasn’t what he was looking for, and so he would continue searching. He had no idea if he was going to find what he wanted. Sighing, he waded deeper into the thicket.

The last thing he encountered, to nobody’s surprise, was a Jumpluff.

Well… the thing about this was that he also had one of these already, so tough luck with that. Watching the literal sentient dandelion ball float lazily on the wind, he slowly stepped backwards, leaving it alone to drift on the breeze before going into another part of the forest.

Still no Lurantis to be found, but them’s the kicks. He’d be able to find that Pokémon another day.

For now, though, he needed some rest.
