❄ Moana Reyes is attractive, but in a generally unremarkable way. He stands at an average 5'8", with floppy black hair, sun-darkened skin typical to an Alolan native, and grey-green eyes. He's not bulky like a bodybuilder, but he has some muscle. He walks with a slouch, and has a lazy smile.[break][break]
❀ Moana is young, and youth makes him impulsive. He's reckless as can be, rarely considering the consequences of his actions before he carries them out. He throws caution out the window, making careless mistakes left and right. When he succeeds anyways, which is much of the time, his arrogance only intensifies.[break][break]
❀ Despite his devil-may-care approach to things, he's also rather smart. When he's not doing something extraordinarily stupid for no reason, he's thoughtful, insightful, and observant. [break][break]
❀ Moana tries not to let his brash arrogance get in the way of his relationships with other people, though. He tries to be kind and considerate, even if his habit of speaking before thinking leads to him often putting his foot in his mouth. Despite this, he really does try to be helpful and approachable, and wants the best for his friends. [break][break]
☄ Moana was born in Alola, on Ula'ula island, from an unplanned pregnancy. His father absconded when he was born, and his mother could not support him alone, so Moana was given to foster care. [break][break]
☄ Moana didn't fit any family who tried to adopt him. It wasn't that he was purposefully antagonistic, but he couldn't tolerate their company at all, for reasons that he couldn't explain even if he wanted to. He repeatedly ran away, and though he was often caught soon afterwards, he never gave up. [break][break]
☄ As Moana grew older, the periods he managed to evade foster care grew longer and longer, and he became more and more adept at fleeing. Eventually, he fled and wasn't found again, joining a gang to find a place to be. [break][break]
☄ In the gang, Moana learned skills that were unsavory, but helped keep him around. He learned to pickpocket skillfully, to avoid notice, to change his appearance, and more. He was never really a fan of the intimidation tactics that other members used, but he was useful to the gang in his own right. [break][break]
☄ It took him years, but Moana finally tired of the gang life. He stole some Pokemon from the gang (that were recently stolen themselves), used his savings to buy a ferry ticket, and journeyed to Hoenn, intending to restart his life there.
