How such a simple proverb could prove so true astounds him. The fact that their otherworldly invaders seem to exhibit his favorite mantra unravels the man who refuses to be denied. Their influence refuses to take no for an answer, wild Pokemon unable to resist the potency of their toxins. Only through sheer luck do they manage to create an viable counter measure.

But Fernando knows better than to rely on luck. They’re only given a small chance to grasp the moment and his time is best spent furthering their efforts. His pursuit in poison type Pokemon comes at the behest of the League’s scientific community. Now more than ever, the need to analysis Pokemon that were considered no more than pest becomes integral to their survival.

[attr="class","spiral"]While perfectly applicable, Fernando already has a Foongus. They need something new, something better. Something like a miracle. But it has to be more tangible then just thoughts and prayers. Something undiscovered would be nice but he’s already pushing his luck. The fact that he was able to snatch the enigmatic Type:Null off the market is already a feat all on its own. Unfortunately, it’s not the thaumaturgy he needs right now.

Instead, he’ll have to settle for the unidentified beast. He allows the Pokemon out of its ball and to roam the route freely. Watching its fin ladden legs stretch with every step is still as mesmerizing as the first time. Anatomically, the way it’s built makes no sense, almost as if nature had been usurped and replaced in the crafting segment.

Ignorant to a fault, Fernando calls the Type:Null to follow him, allowing it to run in front as he slows his pace to flounder behind it.

Although it’s taken some time, the Type:Null recognizes the order by now. Understanding what it means still takes some training but it’ll be a gap they fill in through more encounters. For now, Fernando’s sated by the Pokemon’s ability to look after itself.

It covers the distance between them with a single FLAME CHARGE. Fire erupts from unseen pores and it’s enough to leave a burn on contact. But it’s the IRON HEAD of the Type:Null’s helmet that knocks the Pokemon unconscious.

Another Pokeball down and another poison type secured.
