He could almost feel himself choking to death. His heart raced as the demand for oxygen screamed in his mind. A simply tap on the sharpedos side indicated they needed to surface. And when they breeches the surface, Maverick gasped for air. After a moment to refill on much needed air, he nodded to his shark and they began the search again. Maverick didn’t have many fears. But the fear of drowning, it was ever so real. Warm colored orbs flickered to see Seregon take down a toxicroak with a hurricane attack before he turned his attention to his other creatures. They all kept close yet attacked anything that wasn’t what he was looking for. The demand for oxygen again poked at him. He mentally sighed. This was going to take forever.

Several hours have passed as the man and his team continued to search for something good in the water. The waters surface broke as the man surfaced for air once more. He gasped for it, feeling as though he just couldn’t get enough even though he clearly could. Once felt satisfied with the amount of oxygen in his lungs, the trainer let out a sigh. Warm colored over flickered over the water to see a few of his creatures surface just for a moment before diving down into the water again. It seems luck wasn’t on his side today so far. Under the waters surface, a croconaw was battling his Dragonair. The dragaonair made quick work of it though, sending a thunderbolt at it and scaring it away.

After taking note of where the sun was and how much longer he had before the sun set, his turned to his sharpedo. “I’m ready,” he mumbled to his water and dark creature as he took in a deep breath and nodded. Once the human had his oxygen, the shark like creature dove under the water and swam to another part of the area. He knew his trainer wouldn’t last long so kept close to the water surface. Will he find something good today?

The sun was going down and going down quick. The man gasped for air as he surfaced, a chill ran down his spine as a cool breeze rushed over him. Warm gaze shifted to the horizon, taking note of how late it was. It was already starting to get darker sooner. Winter was coming. Great. His gaze then shifted to see his water serpent surface just a few feet next to him. “Seregon,” the man called out over the crashing waves, “Can you get the others? It’s time to leave.” The gyorados roared in response, diving underwater to gather his team mates. With that, the man looked to the sharpedo. “Let’s head back to the shore.”

It didn’t take long for the group to reach the shore. The man walked onto the shore, arms extended out in a stretch. A yawn was soon summoned, forcing the man to suddenly feel tired. His gaze shifted to his group as suddenly, something seemed off. The Dragonair was quick to slithered around his trainer in defense mode while the crawdaunt and greninja darted to protect their trainer. It took a moment for Maverick to realized what was going on. Warm gaze flickered to see a galarian weezing.

“Your about to have a rude awaken,” the man warned, a hint of a smirk on his face, “Tharisirion ice beam, Zarya bubble beam, and Cragen hydro pump.” The weezing’s eyes widen as suddenly, waves of water and ice hit him head one. And just as quickly as the three pokemon attack the wild pokemon, it fainted without another moment to lose. Again, a hint of a smirk tugged the edges of the mans lips. “At least I had something to catch today,” the mumbled as he tossed the pokeball to attempt to capture the creature, “great work today everyone.” Each of his pokemon did there own little happy dance before one by one, Maverick recalled each of them into the ball leaving only him and Cragen. While the man waited for the ball to capture, he got dressed in the dry cloths he left. Only once the capture was done, he would leave.
