Not too long after the gym leader and his company let the snom alone, another wild pokemon appeared in their way. The ice and electric type stared at them, not scared or bothered by a human and tamed pokemon. His brows scrunched, slightly confused. Was this the same one as last time too? The man pondered on whether or not to catch it. It wasn’t something he was interested in but it could make a good trade at some point. He didn’t know too much about the creature itself other than the basics like element it possessed and abilities it could have. But other than that, the creature was a mystery to him. After a minute or two of silent debate as Rurik stood guard by his trainer, the human shrugged. Why not?[break][break]

Plucking a ball out from his pocket, the man tossed it at the creature. It hit, sucking the pokemon in and falling to the earth with a thud. It wiggled. Rurik approached the ball, hovering over it ready to retrieve once the capture was a success. Honestly, not being able to battle creatures here made the whole safari zone thing boring. Maverick was glad he didn’t come here to often. It was too easy to catch pokemon. And really, it made him a little uncomfortable. He set out a sigh, shivering in his jacket. At least he only needed one more pokemon, then he could head out.

Once the capture was complete, the man plucked the ball off the ground and shoved it in his pocket. His gaze shifted to Rurik, the spotted mightyena’s tail wagged when his trainer’s gaze fell to him. The man let the edges of his lips curl up in a slightly smile, eyes squinted in the same matter. “We got one more to go.” The canine let out a muffled bark, dropping his nose to the earth to try and sniff out a scent. “I’m looking for another darumaka,” he told the creature as he sniffed the ground, “Shiny or not is irrelevant to me.” He didn’t know why he made that comment. Its not like the canine could sniff out a shiny from the rest. But really, just telling himself out loud more or less.[break][break]

Rurik found a sent and followed it. In the corner of his eye, Mav spotted a odd colored snom. His brows scrunched in confusion. Why were there so many of these creature in the safari zone? Where they really that common? Either way, the trainer didn’t really care. He wasn’t interested in a snom, even a shiny one. Yes, it probably would go made a good trade or sell. But after catching that other pokemon, he only had one ball left and he was saving it for the last creature he actually wanted. So with that, it was ignored as the human followed the white spotted mightyena in hopes to find his final pokemon.

The cold was getting to him now. And honestly, the human wouldn’t be surprised if frost bite has already started to form on his toes. He shivered harshly in his jacket, warm gaze flickered to the white spotted mightyena when a growl slipped from his muzzle. Finally… the last pokemon he wanted. Using the last bit of energy he had, the scarred male pulled out a ball from his pockets. “Step aside Rurik,” the man mumbled in between shivers, “That’s the last one I need.” The mightyena took a step back, following behind his trainer. His lips curled slightly, still showing the wild creature no mercy.[break][break]

The ice creature danced back and forth before him, almost in a mocking matter. Maverick clenched his jaw, slightly annoyed but more as of sheer cold. Drawling his arm back, the man launched the ball at the creature rather hard. It smacked it right in the center of the head, knocking the creature back before encasing it in. The ball fell to the earth with a soft thud. Maverick rushed over to the ball, shivering in his shoes as he waited for the confirm capture. A low whine came from his canine, nudging his trainer knowing the human couldn’t handle the cold. “I’m alright Rurik,” the man grumbled in a low tone, “let’s just get this one try to find one more.”

The man plucked the ball off the ground as soon as the confirm capture was complete. A hint of a smile tugged the edges of his lips as he shoved the ball in his pocket. But as he felt the wave of accomplishment, a snarl rang in his ears. Warm crimson colored orbs flickered up to see that once again, that small ice type was before them. The white spotted mightyena growled, lips peeled back slightly to show the creature he meant business. The wild creature seemed up effected by Rurik’s intimated ta attempts.[break][break]

The man sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “Alright,” he mumbled, already getting what he wanted from the safari zone, “I’ll give. Apparently snom like me or something.” Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the remained ball he had left and gave it a toss. And honest, he didn’t really care of he caught the creature. At this point, he would take anything. Even as the ball hit the snom and trapped it in, his gaze shifted to Rurik who stood proudly by his side. Maverick was ready to go home.
