It seemed like it had been eons since he'd last been here to do his weekly walkabout and recruit a new teammate. In reality it had only been one week just like normal.

The only difference was from this week to last week he'd survived war with aliens, battle against pokémon from beyond the stars and even witnessed two pokémon of legend join the fray.

After such madness in what was just one afternoon. It was blessing to be back on this quiet, fiety path.

At the first sight of a full grown Scolipede he thought to spring into action. His own Venipede standing to develop better if he had an elder to better shape his development.

Of course he underestimated the burrowing power of a Scolipede. Likely it sensed him as a threat best to flee from. By the time he had a proper pokeball in hand, it was already gone.

He'd barely had time to put the pokéball away before a vulpix rounded the corner in flee. "Uh oh." It had been months since a pokémon charged at him without one of his own at the ready to defend to him.

For a moment he thought he might be dead; one flamethrower from the frightened fox and he'd be finished.

Yet, as it closed its distance to him it didn't attack. In fact he noticed its limp and a bleeding wound on its hind leg just as managed to jump into his arms. He wondered about its self-awareness; did it know it was cute enough to get away with such actions.

No, it was just acting on instinct as soon enough, a large Seviper slithered around the corner spotting the human and the vulpix, seemingly weighing its attack options.

Before it could decide Sénon himself acted; two pokéballs hit the ground in a show force.

From the balls his Safari Zone tag team, Magneton and Haunter guarded their trainer. The former crackling with electricity and a narrowed gaze and the latter pulling down its lower eyelid in a taunt and cackling so madly that the vulpix hid its face in Sénon's armpit.

"Poor girl." Tagging her with spare ball he'd hid her away until he could get her wound properly looked at.

Crimsen attempted to capture Vulpix!
