By the time Adrian came back from his fridge raid he'd find the brats had all been knocked out somewhere towards the end of first act; before all the monsters and explosions and yelling. Turning down the volume a bit so they wouldn't wake up he moved their bodies to different places on the couch or to a different couch so that they wouldn't sleep in weird positions and get cramps. All of them out like lights not to awaken until their overly efficient batteries were fully charged again. He suppressed the volume of his speaking voice without whispering "Done deal." He'd wanted another slice but it was best to leave the kids something to look forward to and by some sleeping-in time for their parents; leftover pizza for breakfast was the kind of thing kids literally dreamed of. "I paid for the supplies so overnight duty is yours Mal." He gave his boy a proper goodbye.  Grabbing his jacket as he made his exit. "Later." |
