New family was welcomed, but she was still getting used to the new presence...particularly inside her head. Ullr was a Noivern, a species that was known to sometimes have Telepathy, but having little experience with psychic type or other Pokemon that communicated directly, Kaida still wasn't sure how to feel about the dragon responding to her every thought. She supposed she should thank her family for recruiting such helpful Pokemon during the war, she had to make them feel like family now. [break][break]

The Noivern shifted in midair, searching the small islands for signs of purple, another response to the picture inside her head about the poisonous aliens. There had been recent sightings of purple creatures wandering the islands of the water routes. Whether it was a false alarm, poisoned Pokemon, or alien troops that had retreated to the ocean, it was her job to take them all out. [break][break]

"Do you think its a real sighting?" She spoke, aware her other ally couldn't read her mind. A sort of dread entered her voice, mingled with anger. There was no doubt to her intentions. If the enemy was still here, she'd eliminate it with extreme prejudice. Maybe she wanted it to be a real sighting.

Even if he’d helped bring in the lone general from the ‘space cannibal army’, Lars couldn’t discontinue the fact that it was highly possible there were still more of them—out there.

It was entirely possible, considering how many had managed to break through unseen (unseen? That was the nightmare in an on itself) and had caught the region by surprise—well, mostly caught by surprise. They had one meeting to decide what to do before all hell broke loose and the region had been swept away into the hellfire of war.

So… a sighting was entirely possible. Trusting the other authorities to do their work was iffy at best, and why the hell was Smokhe in Slateport’s maximum security? Wasn’t there another place where they could keep high-profile prisoners in a secured area?

Even if he didn’t want to talk to a certain individual, he knew that it was inevitable.

For now, though…

It was time to go on a hunt.

Kaida would eventually be joined by a silver Metagross hovering through the air, with Lars right atop its back. “Confirm to me, the last report of this sighting seen was somewhere out here, correct?” he inquired her way as quietly as possible.

He hoped that their approach was discreet enough as discreet would be.

A little closer.. [break][break]

Ullr flapped to the side of the Metagross...unerving but convenient. Her voice was low, carefully making sure she didn't give away their position with her voice to any listeners. "Yes. They weren't attacked by anything but..." That didn't mean there was nothing. The whole invading force had entered their world and gone unnoticed for an unacceptable amount of time, who was to say this force wasn't simply in hiding? [break][break]

She patted the Noivern on the back, "Ullr can be silent." Even the Metagross would find its silence rivaled by the dragon. "I'll be going closer." A questioning look was leveled at her partner, wondering if he'd follow as the Noivern lowered towards the smattering of small islands.

“Be careful,” he bade her as she left to approach the location—where there was a ‘hideout’ of space cannibals rumored to be hiding from the law. Either way—

Lars couldn’t help but feel that there was something… off about this. The information was… it was too handy to be investigated. Maybe he was just overthinking things? But there was still something in the back of his mind bothering him—like there was a possibility that it may be a trap, he wasn’t sure.

Either way, he sat there for a few moments, before making to follow her just in case things went south and she may find herself surrounded with no immediate back-up.

Of course, he was hoping that his mind was just playing tricks on him; but one could never be too careful when it came to shit like this.

It was honestly concerning, considering that the entire threat was still there, lingering in the background like a persistent stain that didn’t want to scrub out no matter how hard one tried to clean it.

Even a newcomer like Ullr could tell something was off. The swirling anger and sadness that accompanied Kaida's every thought made her whimper quietly. She wanted to fight and, in this moment, Ullr didn't think that was a good thing. Nonetheless, the ordering thoughts shoved them onwards, without a second thought. [break][break]

She found seemingly nothing at first, eyes flickering around in nervous energy as silence pressed in on them. As terribly exposed as the Noivern was, nothing was moving to confront them. Was it really nothing? [break][break]

Ullr let out a tiny chirp, suddenly hovering in place with her eyes locked on one seemingly empty island. There. Kaida's frown only grew, and she patted the Noivern in a small, reassuring way. Let's get them. She wasn't thinking, she truly wasn't. Not when she bade the Pokemon forward, right onto the island where movement was only visible at the corner of the eyes.
