Perusing through his phone, J.J. turns to look at the Lucario kneeling against the ground, its snout pressed closely against the ground. ”You find anything yet?” he asks, slightly annoyed at his inability to find a wild pokemon. Catching and building a team has never been a top priority, as he prefers to spend most of his time biking; however, ever since joining Team Rocket, he’s quickly come to understand the necessity of having a proper team.
Soleil’s nose lightly twitches as it suddenly looks back towards her trainer, barking at him to grab his attention. Raising an eyebrow, he nods solemnly to the Lucario as she quickly breaks off into a sprint. He follows closely behind, pushing past the tall grass before the pair come to another halt. His blue eyes dart around as he tries to spot whatever might’ve grabbed the bipedal canine’s attention.
"Oh" was a simple reply as the Lucario approaches. Jude chuckles from her stance in the grass, having probably attracted it with the sounds she was making. "hey there" she lifts her golden eyes from the Pokemon to the trainer. She grins easily. "hah... sorry, was I distracting you guys?"
Jude raises a sheepish arm, rubbing at the back of her neck. She had been trying to mimic the Pokemon calls that her unit had used to distract hostile teams on the front line. Now that she wasn't watching their backs, she felt it prudent to at least keep their memory alive. She hadn't contacted them since arriving back in Hoenn. Along with her family, she guessed.
But that would come with time. She was half crouched in the tall grass, the point of her ponytail seen like a red beacon. Lifting herself from the foliage, she placed both hands on her hips. "I'll be here for a while" Jude informed the man "why don't we join forces? I could use the company if you aren't busy with stuff."
”No, you’re not distracting us from anything.” J.J. responds with a bright smile on his face. He’s had poor luck thus far in trying to find a wild pokemon and unexpectedly he’s found a person instead. He slides his hands into his pocket as she proposes a brief alliance.
He thinks on it for a moment before nodding. ”Sure, it’s better to have company than to go at it alone. I’m J.J., by the way.”
He slowly extends an arm out to shake the girl’s hand when he spots a wild Poochyena nearby. His blue eyes widen and sparkle for a moment as he looks to his Lucario. ”Soleil, Aura Sphere!” he demands. The bipedal canine nods, firing a ball of pure energy at the dog, striking it with great precision. Utilizing this opportunity to its fullest, he tosses out a pokeball, absorbing it through a red beam.
"Well, shucks" the woman chuckles, extending a hand to shake his own "didn't expect to meet a reasonable person out in the wild." JJ agrees though. His Lucario deals with the canine, and Jude realizes there is another Pokemon encroaching on their surroundings. A Marowak... it looked strong too. She could get behind that.
Releasing her Blaziken, the duo-type immediately rushes at the Marowak who had snuck up behind the Lucario. A kick was given, pushing the wild Pokemon back and away from them. "Seems pretty stupid to ignore someone in your general vicinity" Jude goes on, crossing her arms in front of her chest "but some trainers, I guess, can't handle competition." She winks the man's way "I'm Jude."
The Marowak is downed easily, and she throws a Pokeball to try and capture it. Blaziken returns to her side, staring at the other fighting type before his gaze shifts to JJ and then to their surroundings.
