Chewtle is familiar, but not in a fond way. Gavin frowns down at the Galarian Pokemon as its strong jaw bites down on his pantleg, teeth grazing his leg. His eyes sting with the sudden influx of pain and he curses under his breath, kicking out at the wild menace.

"End it," he growls.

The dragon sends out a pulse of energy that blasts the Chewtle away from Gavin, though it takes some skin with it as a memento. Blood seeps through his pantleg and Gavin breathes through the sharp stinging.

"Fucking hate those things..."

"Hmph. It'll do."

He's got less and less excuse to be picky, these days, and his time is too precious to waste endlessly hunting for Pokemon that were likely to die regardless. The war and its aftermath have left him jaded, a forced sort of distance from his emotions.

Gastric acid spewed from Naganadel slows down the swift swimmer, allowing it to be dispatched by a series of dragon pulses. It floats to the top of the water when it falls unconscious, and Gavin gets a close look at its wicked teeth when he wades into the surf to retrieve it. It could surely have delivered a nasty bite if his Pokemon hadn't been there to defend him.

Could Naganadel even be considered a Pokemon? It certainly acted like one, albeit a particularly vicious species.

Gavin shrugs and throws a ball.
