kyle guides his urshifu through a forested area of the route, making as little noise as possible. on the other hand, the urshifu doesn't seem to have the same idea as his trainer, sounding a whine as they walk.

"it's just one more day," kyle tries to reassure his pokemon. "you're getting too fat in the house."

kyle would have as well had he not been forcing his pokemon to do exercises to keep them in tip-top shape. one of the burdens of being in his position in the league was to keep his reputation clean, which meant that he cannot ignore training his pokemon.

he's not sure if he's ever using his urshifu in an official match, although he does know that there will be a situation where this pokemon would be the best fit for the job.

he takes his eyes off of the urshifu for one moment. the whining eventually stops, triggering kyle to turn around to see what the pokemon was up to.

"what is that?" kyle asks his pokemon.

the urshifu dips his head to the side and lets his stare settle on the wooloo before looking back to kyle. he is met with an unsettled expression from his trainer, who manages to decipher what the urshifu wants.

"okay, but just this time."

with a sigh, he touches the wooloo with a pokeball. kyle cannot fathom whatever bond it may have with the urshifu since they only met for around five seconds, though he supposed that it'll end as soon as it started. he'd just have to give it to his pokemon this time so it has enough motivation for the day.
