As Andrew awoke from an unwanted slumber, the man would groan in pain. He would quickly notice that rather than being on a bed, he was on cold floor of a cave. Grunting and groaning, he slowly picked himself off the cold ground. "What the f-", he started, before hissing in pain, and gripping at his head. "Holy shit! That fuckin' hurts!", he moaned, as he removed his hand from his head, only to find it smeared with blood. "Yo, what the fuck!?", he exclaimed in shock.

The last thing he remembered, he was walking home back to Lilycove after a particularly humiliating loss. But on the way, he got caught in a whiteout, only to feel something clobber his head. The next thing he knew, he was in an icy cave, bleeding from the head. He would hear the grunts of something coming from the depths of the cave.

As he got to his feet, Andrew attempted to make a break for the other end of the cave, only to find that the entrance was blocked off by a wall of ice. "Shit!", he exclaimed, looking for a hiding place as he heard loud footsteps moving closer to him.

When the heck did it get so cold? Vio shuddered slightly, finding her jacket and skirt to be quite insufficient as far as attires went. But who would have guessed that it could get this cold, this quickly? Yes, at the time this took place it was a much colder time of year, but still – this was reasonably close to Lilicove. In her experience, any place close enough to a summer holiday resort should by law be required to be at least mild in temperature for the rest of the year.

Sadly though, the league refused to pass such a law or enforce it, if it already existed. Either way, she blamed them all – and had brought out her Delphox to provide some gloating, mystical fire that followed them around. It managed to stave off both the cold and the dark, at least for the time being. Incidentally, that also kept the feral Pokemon at bay, it seemed. She had noticed something hushing in the dark here and there so far, but nothing had dared to attack them just yet.
Except for the weather, that was.
