"I don't think she would like ya, buddy." He said, patting the little dewpider in the head as he sighed. "You just don't have that... pizzas, ya know?"

The dewpider stared up at him in confusion before shrugging off his hand, rolling her eyes at the weirdo human before jumping into a nearby puddle and rolling around.

"Huh. Guess they all just like doing that." He said with a snort as he moved to stand back up to his full height, scratching at his chin as he looked around.

"Now, back to hunting..." He said in a low mumble, eyes peering around him carefully. "Gotta get her something nice... Vespiqueen, maybe? Certainly would fit her..."

Yeah, yeah! A vespiqueen! He needed to gift her a Vespiqueen! Damn... He really regretted not capturing that one Honeycomb a good while back.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" He grumbled, banging his fist against his skull, huffing.

The bugcatcher froze as he caught sight of a Rowlet, and the Rowlet caught sight of him.

Their eyes met. For several seconds, neither moved as they sized each other up, the rowlet determining whether the human presented a threat, the bugcatcher appraising the pokemon's worth as a gift.

... Not bad at all.

"Yeah. Actually, you'll do just fine." He said as he suddenly turned to face it sharply, jolting the little owl.

For a moment, it seemed as if the owl would try to run away...

And then it sweeped a single wing over its face, as if slicking back its nonexistent mop of hair, before dramatically pointing a finger at the bugcatcher, practically challenging it to try anything.

"Oh, you'll do perfectly."

The Owl screeched as a whole net was thrown at it like a harpoon.
