With the season gift giving out of the way and his secret santa satisfied, the man decided to venture some where he hasn’t been in a while. After waiting for the tide to go down at the appropriate time, the scarred man entered the never ending darkness of the caves. Warm crimson colored eye flickered over the vastness of nothing. Clearing his throat, Maverick reached into his pocket and summoned a creature that would proved light. The ball burst opened and revealed his shiny umbreon, her blue rings lighting up the surrounding area. It wasn’t much but it would provide enough light to safely venture into the cave. “Keep close Nisha.”

As soon the umbreon’s blue ring light up, a shadowy figured lingered at the edge of light. Maverick grunted to himself, reaching into his pockets for a pokball. It wasn’t that he didn’t have confidence in his umbreon, just didn’t know what lingered. Nisha hissed, baring her teeth at the creature. “Shadow ball.” The umbreon took in a deep breath, summoning the ghostly energy into a ball. With all her might, the dark type creature casted the ball of eerie spell att he shadow. The attack hit, a vanillash tumbled into their circle of light out cold. The umbreon took a few steps back, gaze shifted to her trainer. “Leave it be.” The man mumbled, motioning with a nod of his head to follow him. Maverick had no interest in capturing one of them and knew that the creature would awaken unharmed.

After searching the cave for what felt like hours, the umbreon and the human seemed to have no luck. The trainer sighed, warm gaze flickered down to the bold numbers that indicated what time it was. “It looks like we should be heading out,” he mumbled to his creature, her down red gaze shifted to her trainers, “We don’t want the tide to trap up here.” “Brreeee!” The creature responded, pressing her head against the trainers side to force his hands to graze her head. This brought a hint of a smile to his normal placid expression, gently patting the creature. “Let’s go.”

But just when the man could see the light to indicate they were about to leave, Nisha hissed loudly to their left. To got the man’s attention, shifting to face whatever it was. “Iron tail it.” The umbreon leaped forward towards the target, whipping herself around as her tail turned hard as steel. Her attack hit, sending the creature tumbling before Maverick feet. The umbreons ring provided light, seeing that they knocked out a snover by accident. With a shrug of his shoulders, the man reached into his pocket and plucked a empty ball from many that sat collecting dusty. He tossed the ball, hoping to capture the creature in maybe trade it for something good later.
