Andre had decided to look around for some Electric-type pokemon to catch. Honestly, thinking about Electric types had made him wish he was able to catch a Boltund back in the Galar Region. Luckily for him though, the Hoenn Region was able to make a deal with the Galar Region and now, Pokemon that one would normally see in the Galar Region could also be found in the Hoenn Region, which made it feel like Andre wasn't actually away from home. He actually thought it was convenient because now he could still catch pokemon that he had missed out on catching before. Auron, Andre's Lucario had been walking ahead of him, scanning the area as they walked looking for a wild pokemon. Andre had been paying attention to his Pokedex, scanning the entries that had been filled with pokemon that he had not caught but encountered.

"Man, the wild pokemon in this area sure like to hide. On the routes, you could literally see them running around. Around here though, you barely see any of them. Then again, this part of the region is apparently all forest from the looks of it," Andre had said, looking around yet finding absolutely no sign of a wild pokemon. However, just as Andre had come around the corner of a clearing, he had spotted an older gentleman which made Andre rush up to him without a care in the world. "Hey, mister! Are you out here looking for Pokemon too?" Andre had said, catching up to him without even being out of breath. Auron the Lucario had used EXTREME SPEED to quickly be by Andre's side, eyeing the man to make sure he didn't pull anything funny. Andre however, was more trusting than his own Pokemon. "You be nice!" Andre had instantly said, eyeing his Lucario, which made the pokemon huff slightly in response.

"Sorry about that, Auron is very protective. It wouldn't hurt him to try and trust people though," Andre had said to the man, grinning. It was clear that Andre had a warmness about him that seemed friendly to most people. Even those who have just met him can even see that. He couldn't help being himself in all honesty.

Holding out an unlit cigarette between his index finger and middle finger, Hendrix stares at the tall grass, wondering if he might be lucky enough to find another Rotom to add into his arsenal. As advanced as his suit is, being limited to only six moves is a problem.

The Incineroar by his side lets out a low growl before turning its head upwards to unleash a Flamethrower to get his attention. Seeing the opportunity, the red-haired man extends his hand out just enough to light his cigarette.

Smiling, he uses his free hand to pet the large wrestling tiger on the head before puffing at the cigarette. Yet, as relaxing as his smoke break is, the ex-Interpol officer is suddenly interrupted by a somewhat hyperactive young man.

Arching his brow slightly, he shrugs his shoulders. ”You could say that.” he says, unfazed by the sudden appearance of the bipedal dog. Lyger takes a stance, slightly alarmed by a canine, but seeing its trainer’s nonchalant attitude, it slightly relaxes.

Andre held his grin as the man had replied to him. Even though he was smoking a cigarette, Andre didn't seem to much care about that kind of thing. Then again, back in Spikemuth, it was quite common to see people smoke. Of Course, he was of age to smoke, but he didn't much really care too personally. "That's an awesome Inceneroar you have! I bet he's super strong too huh?" Andre had asked the man while also complimenting his pokemon at the same time. Despite him being drawn to cute-looking pokemon, Andre was also into battling. When he first started out as a trainer though, he was terrible at battling. He also had a tendency to bite off more than he could chew at times, which was why he hadn't challenged any gyms yet.

The Gyms here in Hoenn were different from his understanding than the ones back in Galar, however, the same principle still applied. You win, you get a Gym Badge for your victory; you lose, and well ... everyone knows how that goes. However, Andre was a lot better at battling, and even though he didn't look like the type, he was actually strategic when it came to his battles, although it was more 'outside-the-box' kind of thinking. He had a knack for making sporadic decisions that ended up working in his favor. "I'm Andre by the way! I'm a trainer from the Galar Region! What your name?"

Andre had once again asked the man another question while trying to be friendly and keep the conversation going. Andre was so focused on the man that he had not even paid attention to the Wormadam that was hanging from the small tree a few feet in front of him. His Lucario did, however, didn't seem to want to mess with the wild pokemon, keeping its focus on Andre for the time being.

Hendrix smiles towards the excitable youth. ”Lyger? Yeah, he’s pretty strong.” he affirms, patting the black and red furred tiger on the shoulder. It lets out a gruff snort as its tension quickly leaves, leaving behind a proud grin.

Off in the corner of his eye, the redhead spots a small branch falling from one of the nearby trees. His eyes immediately lock onto the camouflaged bug pokemon who’s shocked that it’s been found so easily. ”Hold on.” he says to Andre, pointing over at the grassy bug. ”Lyger, use Cross Chop!”

Hearing Hendrix’s commands, the Incineroar pounces into action, charging at the tree on all four before leaping towards it with both arms crossed. The Incineroar’s forearms glow a bright white as it strikes against the tree, causing it to shake violently. Slipping off, the Wormadon falls against the ground and not giving any it any time to escape, the black and red furred tiger swipes its claws at it, picking it up from its long antennae.

Seeing his opportunity, Hendrix tosses a pokeball at the pinned Wormadon.

”Galar, huh?” he questions, finally turning back to the short youth. ”Fancy that, I’m from Galar too. Name’s Hendrix.”
