[attr="class","skullbody"] Having continued his journey after an awkward encounter in granite Cave with Billi marsh Jacob decided to head elsewhere to try and find more Pokémon, it seemed like because there was such diverse biomes in Hoenn that the island always experienced different kinds of weather depending where you were and it even drastically changed what Pokémon appeared where. So what did he do? a good ol fashioned walking into the open area and standing around till some random pokemon decided to pop up and harass him for his attention.

[attr="class","skullbody"] Jacob happened upon a Croagunk in his little trip and was surprised. Croagunk was a pretty good Pokémon, it could deliver powerful hits that also poisoned enemies and Bryan's team currently lacked a good poison type Pokémon. "Fuck yeah." he said out loud as he threw out a pokeball since fighting type Pokémon typically wanted to battle before being caught. He summoned his duraldon "Duraldon! use flash cannon and follow it up with hyper beam!" he said as duraldon got into firing position. The flash cannon and then hyper beam both nailed their target right on the head. However Croagunk was unable to really withstand the attack and passed out. Jacob stood there staring at it...this guy couldn't even take two moves? Weak. The disappointment on his face was really apparent as he decided to just leave it behind and continued to walk, opting to not catch such a weakling.

[attr="class","skullbody"] Jacob then saw a hitmonchan appear in front of him. A grin appeared on his face as he put on his own boxing gloves from his bag. He loved to show off his own body's strength and power from his big build, he mimicked Hitmon chan's posture and threw a few punches in front of him, signaling he wanted to spar himself. Hitmonchan happily obliged as the two began to throw hands with one another. It was a stalemate at the end of the match and the two were rightfully worn out from their long duel, battered and bruised up the two forged a bond that day that would be a shame to ruin if they were to go their own seperate way now. Jacob decided this hitmonchan was a worthy choice for his party and extended an open hand to the pokemon who nodded and took the hand. They were going to be great partners and they were both gonna fight some strong pokemon together.
