Hendrix can feel the child-like glee bubbling within as he takes a step into the safari zone. The haven of rare pokemon fills him with curiosity as he wonders just how such a place could properly function.

With wonder and the urge to move forward, the red-haired engineer joins many others in a hunt for the odd or even strange.

Hendrix doesn't get very far when he spots a little monkey atop a tree branch. Their gaze meets one another and the monkey, tilts its head with both curiosity and apprehension.

Seeing its interest in him, Hendrix pulls out an oren berry from his backpack, wagging it at the Chimchar. The food in his hand manages to catch its attention as it easily and quickly scales down the tree to make its approach. He crouches down to put him at a better eye-level with the monkey, giving it as an offering.

With a swift swipe of its palm, the Chimchar takes the oren berry from his hand and quickly devours it. It turns to eye him as if it were asking for more. Smiling, Hendrix pulls out another berry, but this time with a pokeball. "Only if you join my party."

It nods, giving the pokeball a little high five.

hendrix wouldn't get very far after befriending the little chimchar, as he suddenly feels a chill run down his spine. he slowly turns to see a red skull floating behind him.

he leaps backwards, letting out a loud yell. in response, the ghostly pokemon lets out its own shrill as it retreats backwards. realizing it's a pokemon, hendrix grits his teeth, pulling out a safari ball and chucks it at the duskull before it can retreat.

Quite content with his current haul, Hendrix ventures deeper into the Safari Zone, wondering what else he might find. To his surprise, he finds a family of Buneary nearby. Unwilling to interrupt and take away a family member, the redheaded engineer ignures and passes by.

"Aran, Dragon claw." Hendrix shouts upon sighting the Tauros. Letting out a gruff and thunderous roar, the Charizard lunges forward with flapping wings accelerating it into the air. Its claws glow blue as it slashes against the Tauros. Startled by the roar, it's unable to react properly to the sudden attack as it topples over.

Watching it buckle under the attack, Hendrix quickly throws out a pokeball at the bull.
