nyx would slowly make her way to slateport beach, humming softly to herself and deep in thought. her mind going a million places at once. she knew her place was within rocket, but her being a grunt would have to come to an end at some point. she new she had to probably do better in order to get up there to where her dear father figure was. and to get better, it meant to train more. she took a breath and walked along the beach, her hair in two ponytails like normal. the girl wore a usual frilly dress with dark stockings to cover her legs, a rather fluffy jacket covering her arms. around her neck was a scarf as well. at least she was warm.

by her side was chaos, her usual companion on her travels from home. she knew better than to leave the house without him in all honesty. it saved her the hassle of getting attacked by pokemon that wanted to hurt her.

this time, she was going to do her hardest to do well for her father figure. she had to learn how to take care of herself.

the child would hum lightly as she continued down the sandy beach, her eyes looking at the water. it had been a long while since she had actually enjoyed this area considering the fact she hadn't seen her biological parents in forever. she remembered coming here during the summer and enjoying the water as it splashed against her skin. right now it was too cold to do anything like that again.

from the corner of her eyes, she blinked and looked over. a blue, round pokemon with boxing mits on its hands and a swirl on it stomach made nyx highly curious. while it wasn't small enough for her to pick up, it still looked rather nice. she thought for a moment before shaking her head and walked down the path again with chaos.

'not that one....'

nyx would continue to hum lightly to herself as she walked, only to stop and blink. in front of her was a very fluffy pokemon that looked like cotton candy. she grinned as she moved forward to greet the slurpuff. "hey there! i'm nyx. this is chaos." she motions to the motions to the absol, who just gives a soft snort in greeting. the fairy type would tilt her head a bit before giving a soft coo.

however, the slurpuff wasn't having any of it. in fact...it didn't like how the absol was staring at her hungrily. at least that's what the slurpuff thought. with a cry, it took off down the beach as fast as it could go.

fnyx looked to chaos and sighed softly. "well....guess we have to try again..."

"oh, here we go!" nyx exclaimed happily as she came upon the ralts who seemed to be aimlessly looking about. the young girl would slowly move so she didn't scare him, but then again he didn't seem like the type to scare easily either since while she approached him, he began to puff himself out and gave a little cry as if to indicate he wasn't scared. nyx gave a soft chuckle before moving to crouch at his level.

"hey there, i'm nyx! i wish to become friends! the naive girl would exclaim. the ralts wasn't having it, seeing as how the moment she moved close he would let out a disarming voice which caused nyx to cry out in surprise. chaos immediately jumped in, using a slash against the ralts which made it fall back.

the psychic type then let out an angry little noise before sending out a psychic attack, making chaos growl in slightly pain. he came after the ralts again with night slash, nyx grabbing a ball and tossing it at the pokemon in hopes to catch it!
