Skids had already rushed into the building, he really should've invested in finding a water type pokemon after he got here. They were very handy to have but he didn't, that was just his poor planning. Granted, he didn't think a fire was going to break out thanks to a rogue firework. How was anyone suppose to predict that? The rain was first noticed by Salemn, the large dragon pokemon paused as it glanced up, this wasn't a sudden rain storm. Oh no, they had a good feeling on that. So they cast their gaze off to the ground to notice the approaching pokemon. Finally a water pokemon.
Skids ducked down as he moved through the temple, trying to stay under the smoke level. How was it already warm in here? Wasn't it just one room that was up in smoke? Or had it already spread to another room?
"HEY! Anyone in here?" Skids called, giving a light cough as he crouched a little bit more.
A low sound reached his ears, it didn't sound like anything creaking and thus Skids rushed towards the source. Finding one of the temple workers, Skids got down quickly and started to work on picking the up. Looking over to the right, he see some of the flames flickering in a room down the hall. Great, just great, it had spread. The sound of the fire was drowning out the sound of the rain created outside.
The houndoom launched itself through the open window, landing on the ground and it let out a confused growl as the rain hit it's dark form. It growled at this but moved away from the building, holding it's head up to the sky before releasing a torrent of flames. If Laurence was at the temple at this point, they'd see this action and they'd be able to watch as the canine pokemon turned right around once done, and rushed back into the building. Clearly this pokemon was obeying a order of some kind, meaning someone else was here trying to help out.
"Holo! You in here?" Skids called, barely able to hear the sound of claws on the wood as he was making his way carefully toward the exit.
The houndoom's sleek head poked into the hallway, showing him that they heard him. Relieved to see that they were here, he gestured for the pokemon to come over and she did so. Helping her trainer get the templeworker out of the building. Giving a few coughs, Skids helped the barely awake person to sit on the ground.
