Short History:
Colton grew up in a good-standing family to an ambitious scientist father and a curious journalist mother. His early childhood was branded by typical and constant marital arguments between the two. And while they both loved their child in their own distant way, it was not enough for the boy not to feel lonely for the most part. [break][break]

Father's ambition was always a point of a clash. However, her husband's involvement with the infamous Rockets put a final nail in their already fragile marriage. Colton was assigned to his father, leading him down the road of discovery and further isolation as he spent all of his moments being persuaded to improve further. [break][break]

While his father remained occupied with his obligations, Colton's social development was placed in the hands of a highly intolerant surrounding, which only deepened his disdain for people. Stuck in a constant circle of strict improvement and lack of social interaction, Colton turned to nature as means of escaping the reality of the city.[break][break]

More than once, pokemon proved to be more worthy of his times than humans, and it was no different with Karasi, a then young Oranguru that lend him a helping hand when others had disappointed him gravely yet again. Creating a powerful and unusual bond with her, he further deepened his interest in studying pokemon's behavior and their need, in hopes of someday returning the favor.[break][break]

With the challenging times arriving at Slateport City, his father's involvement with the cause grew more apparent. Colton became involuntarily involved with his father's allegiance when his curiosity led him to a glimpse of peculiar projects the father was involved in. Growing more interested in it, he itched to ask about things he was not supposed to know, but before he managed to, his father had disappeared with the first wave of losses to Rocket's ranks.[break][break]

Sensing the opportunity, he reached out to the group, offering to take his father's place in the research. While he highly disagreed with some of the practices, he focused on his mission for the most part. In the meantime, he maintained a strong effort in presenting pokemon as allies rather than expendables.[break][break]

To maintain a seemingly neutral, inconspicuous stand, he remained faithful to the Rocket while offering his expertise to the entire Slateport City via his work in a laboratory. His visitors often included the proud (and sometimes mouthy) members of the League. What they did not know couldn't hurt! After all, it had seemed that their pokemon needed him just as much. Upset with the League's practices, he spared no detail, offering the Rocket details his position allowed him to gather that would be proven useful.[break][break]

After the final demise of the Rocket, Colton silently deflected without notice, continuing to maintain his practice, as well as educate younger people of the Slateport City as an assistant to studies. Focusing on his own research, he grows more prominent and noticeable as a young expert in the city. The news of Rocket emerging again, albeit in a more arbitrary form, came as no surprise. Disappointed in the way things happened to end the last time, he remains silent and is in no rush to stand in line for recruitment, even though he was never officially released from the group.
