of course that only worked so well, especially when a sneaky little cat decided to come and try to rob you. the meowth crept up on him, eyes wide and claws out as it swiped at him to try and get him to drop the bag he was holding. he didn't, but just barely as a pokeball slipped off of his belt instead and landed to the ground. letting out madge which was enough of a deterrent for the meowth for the moment. causing the pokemon to flee off into the grass and gil to be extremely confused about where he was now. with a sigh he looked up at the sky a bit pathetically. "why does this always happen to me?"

it worked out well enough he supposed that when he came across another pokemon it was much kinder than the meowth he had encountered. a large bibarel making it's way through the wood seemed to be heading in the same direction as he was. "you wouldn't happen to know which way the city is? would you?" he felt sort of silly asking a pokemon but it didn't seem to mind as it yawned and kept waddling forward. gil could only hope to assume that meant that it knew where it was going. when they both finally saw city gil let out a sigh of relief. it seemed as if this big fella sort of knew what was going on.

"thank you so much! i thought i was going to be lost forever." the bibarel yawned again, leaning against gil's leg and very nearly pushing him over and in the process opening up one of his empty pokeballs, pulling the dual type inside for the time being. "oh... alright."
