Her time of laying low in the rocket ranks was coming to a close. She needed to start stepping up her game if she ever wanted to get recognized by the higher ups. Right now, she was just another face in the group. And with rocket coming out of the shadows, she wanted to be a part of it. If this was going to be the uprise of the organization, Genesis needed to step up now before it was too late. On the plus side, she wasn’t lacking pokemon anymore. She has plenty of pokemon to cover herself. But the one thing she did lack, strength. Her team wasn’t very strong.

That was one of many reason she was out today. She wanted to train her pokemon more but also wanted a few more steel types. Emerald green orbs flickered over the scares crowd in the lower distant, figuring that most people were in olde town for the festival. This was her perfect chance, hoping the lower amount of crowds would cater to her finding more pokemon. The alolan marowak followed close by her side, twirling its flaming bone every once in a while out of boredom. The pair turned to head to the outskirts of the lower district, assuming most of the pokemon would be that way.

Like she expected, she moved away from the normal busy area and soon a wild pokemon appeared. Her green orbs flickered over the variant, sparks skipped across its rocky body as it stomped its feet. This made Genesis frown, not only that it wan’t the pokemon she wanted but it didn’t seem like it would go away on its own. Her alolan variant swirled its flaming bone, marching in from of her before taking a battle stance. She eyed the creature, a brow rose at its willingness to battle. “Alright,” she sighed with a shrug, “I’ll bite. Use shadow bone.”

The fire and ghost type didn’t waste any time. This was his chance to shiny! He spun his bone, the purple flame gain in strength the more it spun. In the speed of the twirl, blue spits of aura flashed in the center. Once ready, the creature rushed forward moving dramatically in hopes to get the pokemon off guard. The wild pokemon stomp his feet, turning to try and predict when he was going to hit. But the ghost and fire type wouldn’t allow that, leaping left and right until an open appeared. He whipped his flame ghostly bone at its hard body, making contact with one powerful blow. The thing burst, sending purple and blue flames all over the electric and rock type as his ability took effect as well.

The wild pokemon stumble back, body frozen and eyes looked sickly. The marwoak retreated back in from of his trainer, waiting for his next command. Genesis nodded at him in praised, eye glared at the wild pokemon. It’s eyes wide, turning to attempt to flee. Her creature growled, but Genesis growled back. “Leave it,” she sighed, turning to let the pokemon go and find another pokemon that she waned, “I don’t want it. Don’t waste our time on it.” The tamed pokemon pouted, the end of his bone fell to ground and dragged behind him as he followed after his master. He didn’t impress her enough and he was sad.

It has been almost hours sense the pair seen their past wild pokemon. Her alolan marowak had gotten over it and was already starting to gear up for his next attempt to impress his new lady. He twirled his flaming bone, marching toughly and proudly next to his masters side. Genesis was the one to noticed a little magnemite that floated near them. But seeing as she already had the full evolution of the creature, the rocket member paid it no mind. She let her orbs flickered to her ghost and fire type to see if he noticed the wild pokemon. Luckily, the male creature was so into twirling his toy he didn’t. Her orbs returned forward, ignoring the little wild pokemon as she moved on and let it disappear back into the wild.
