As one of the youngest and most promising detectives in the department, Alexander was assigned to an undercover operation infiltrating Team Rocket. A leak in the department lead to him being discovered by the criminal organization, for which he was tortured extensively by Chu-e Choi for information. Alexander managed to escape, but with permanent reminders of the experience carved and burned into his flesh so that he'd never forget what it means to oppose Team Rocket.
