kyle wanders once more into the heights of mt. pyre. the trip to the mausoleum bugged him for some reason, especially since horses shouldn't even be found in a cemetery, specifically when it's in an elevated mountain and not the plains.

he looks down the grail that loomed over the small patch of land that cultivated the carrots underneath. a trickle of water pouring down explained how it survived at least, though it still got him wondering why is it specifically carrots.

"should i even bother thinking too much about it?" kyle asks his mightyena.

with eyes still on the grates, kyle immediately backs off, staggering behind, as he immediately moves away from the unpleasant surprise by the wild pokemon of the area.

"crunch!" he immediately orders his pokemon.

the golett, having phased through to surprise kyle, finds itself in another surprise given by kyle's pokemon.

as if not needing a command, the mightyena already was lunging at the ghost-type with its maws wide open. its fangs sing deep into its corporeal body, shaking it until it's a ragdoll, before releasing it.

kyle waves goodbye to the golett as it escapes the dark-type, a hand on his chest to slow down the beating of his heart.

another ghost-type shows itself before them as soon as they chase out one of them.

"ugh, do people really do their gardens in here?" he blurts out in disbelief.

the mightyena was on point with dispatching out wild pokemon from his trainer's vicinity. it jumps at the drakloak quick, it's maw snapping to get an inch of its draconic body.

the drakloak gets spooked off easily, phasing out before the mightyena can get to it.

as soon as kyle turns around to get ready to get home, his mightyena barks, warning him of another pokemon going for them.

kyle whips his head around just in time to see the cofagrigus phasing through the ground for them. he knew they were above a masoleum, so he probably should have figured this would happen.

"alpha!"

the mightyena jumps on the cofagrigus, fangs ready to crunch the spirit out of it. thankfully, if this was likened to a game, the wild pokemon was half the level of the overlevelled mightyena caught from the starting route that stayed in the party for forever.

kyle throws a pokeball at it before it dies in misery.
