originally an orphan. angel was taken into the silph family as one of many proxies. where there were those who showed results, his were unnatural--rather, inadequate. in the major aspects he was but a mere failure when it came to primary subjects and the arts; though, that wasn't all, for he possessed a knack at maintaining partnership with an abra and produced substantial results for his physical tests. sadly, even though angel produced fine progress, he was most certainly not cut out for the family business sadly. father had no need to inadequacy and that's what his unnatural results showed.[break][break]

luckily, there was another who begged to differ.[break][break]

it was no secret angel lacked in the mental department, and emotionally? he showed clear signs from any form of mental disorder. but that's where his soon-to-be caretaker, and foster father, javier "calavera" rivera begged to differ. angel caught the attention of a man who was but only a temporary examiner, but a longtime friend, and helper, of the family.

javier was a dangerous man. underneath the sun he was kind, fatherly, and a protector; though, when underneath the moonlight? he worked in a dangerous profession. serving as a bodyguard for the silph family but a hitman in his own right. he also, in the black market, worked as a pokemon hunter--a profession frowned upon by many. it was brought to angel's attention, by javier, that javier was a man known in the underworld of hoenn as calavera--a myth like no other. calavera's identity was a reputation that proceeded him for his ability to carry out a hit assignment and poach pokemon. he was like a grim reaper, wearing the traje de lucas and a painted face that resembled a skull, which earned him the moniker "calavera".

and angel was taken in because he showed potential to pass his legacy onto. in the coming of years as javier and angel, both, worked for the silph family every now and then and acted as pokemon hunters on the side while, also, leading a life of normalcy in between. there were times when angel came across the children he were once, and still did, believe to have been siblings. though it was for a short time, it came to show that with each passing in the hall? angel wish to have gotten to know them.

family was always and forever, but there were times he didn't care for such a tale; though, javier fed him the ideas that he was to always protect and serve as a guardian to his fellow silph clan. but was he apart of them? he didn't understand human empathy nor apathy. angel envied them on the outside, but he knew little about in's. just that he was taught to work in the dark as a hunter of the night but a guardian in the day. in the end, upon succeeding to become the next calavera, angel came to realize something: he was being used. there was no such thing as a family between he and javier--no. angel was always, and will be, an orphan. and as javier laid upon his deathbed due to having fallen ill? it was time for the grim reaper to see him off. upon angel visiting javier on his deathbed, angel expressed that he understood he was being used as nothing more then a tool to carry on his legacy. build to be told that he is to lay his life down for the family that wanted to dispose of him, and that was okay!

angel's idea of family, his teacher, and his upbringing? that all didn't matter. none of it did. angel was unsure if he wanted a family or not and that's why he clung so hard to those he knew within the silph family. perhaps he was jealous--envious of them? or maybe he felt engulfed with rage but was not sure how such an emotion felt. angel possessed a feeling akin to numbness when it came to empathy, but he was able to show it through proper facial expressions. although said facial expressions were nothing more then lies.

nonetheless, angel vowed to serve the silph family as planned--but in his own way. after all, one is already under his protection in a coma within his humble basement. that's one down, and few more to fernando go. thinking about it, as someone who isn't an empathetic nor apathetic person...he wondered if the goal he has in mind was right or wrong...? for all of five minutes of course! he's getting what he wants, and everyone else is getting what they want after all. it's for the greater good, and angel intends to see to it that the silph family--his siblings--under his watch forever.
