Time passes by much slower when you're aware of it, light filtering through idle fingertips as they attempt to snip empty air. There's a distinct lack of stimulus in this room, the smell of iodine firmly settled into her clothes just like the rust that reeks from the garbage can nearby. At least 5 - She's counted how many people have visited in her time of waking, bleary-eyed and coaxed into eating her food each time her stomach threatens to churn.

The many medics that come in to check on her usually bring the same set of objectives: Check on her, change her bandages and warn her not to sneak out even if she's bored beyond her mind. Of course, the last one isn't done without reason. Arceus knows that she does it as long as she has the chance, roping Reiner into her little schemes as they dodge and weave any lookouts, only to be caught within an hour of her departure.

"Come on, Reiner." Today is no exception to her feisty nature, her determination burning strong as she carefully slips out of the bed and climbs onto her Luxray. Anything is better than being forced to sit here and wait until she heals up!

From the shadows Eris Halla would find a familiar face watching closely as he seemed very intimidating at first. [break][break]

However his intimidating aura immediately vanishes upon 3 cutieflies flying past him to scan Eris and her luxray. He let out a sigh "back off you three. Give them breathing room. Eris you're supposed to stay in the medical bay until you recover." he said

"I wanted to explore since there's nothing to do in there but sit around or sleep…"

The three cutieflies who were analyzing Eris looked back over to Bryan, lingering on his words with anticipation. God fairy types were irritating, Bryan looked around to see if anyone else was around.
He scratched the back of his head wondering what he should do. [break][break]
"How good are you at lying?" he asked curiously. His cutiesflies turned back over to Eris and her luxray. awaiting her response now as the anticipation in their eyes grew larger and larger.

How good was she at lying? Considering that most adults told her that lying was something she shouldn't do, Eris can't help but answer his question with a light shrug.

"More or less able to." Though nonchalance drips from her tongue, curiosity as to what this information may provide her remains clear within her gaze. It's not often that she's roped into such mysterious schemes, her attention slowly picking at the details of Bryan's movements as he scans the area. Does he not like Cutieflies? She knows the pain of dealing with such persistent creatures, always having to assure them she's fine when she just wants some space to breathe.

Without the slightest clue of what Bryan may be up to, Reiner's eyes narrow as he mentally prepares himself for trouble. His tail begins to wrap around Eris' torso, his front paws gently kneading the ground as he shifts his weight about.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The cutieflies swung their bodies back in the direction to look over at bryan again, however this time one of the cutieflies bumped into the other causing a stun spore to go off. They began to fight amongst themselves until bryan whistled at them to knock it off. "Use aromatherapy." he ordered as the one who knew it obliged, of course he was going to spend the day wrangling a bunch of children around. [break][break]
"Alright then if anyone asks what we're doing then just don't speak to anyone else unless I prompt you alright?" he said as he began to walk and moved his head in a follow me motion towards Eris Halla . His cutieflies buzzed around her in a circle, eager that they had a new playmate. "How are you feeling?" he asked wondering if she still had any pain from her injury.

What was this? An adult secretly enabling her with means to chaotic ends? Rarely does Eris find such people in Rocket - Most days, she's greeted with a roll of the eyes or a blatant question as to what she was doing here - but it seems that she's chancing upon all the nice ones after the excursion. She recalls how Cillian Quinn and bryan delarosa had been like that at first, judging the higher up's choices of letting her on that excursion. And perhaps, they had been right in their skepticism, the tragedy of injury being the only thing that softens their hearts to her presence.

"Partners in crime, huh.... Got it!" She snickers at the rambunctious Cutieflies, sparing Reiner a quick glance as the Luxray answers with a sigh. No doubt is he feeling the burden of having to look after more gremlins but Eris is sure that he doesn't actually mind. If he's not feeling up to doing some damage control, he shows it with a firm grip on her scruff and a walk back to the infirmary.

"I'm okay! Just have a little too much time to spend every day..." It's easier for her to keep things vague, less attention being spent on the details of how her back still aches and more on observing how Bryan might be feeling. Her strides are marginally smaller compared to his, every step of his equating to a few skitters of her own. While most kids might have complained for him to slow down, Eris is invested in following his footsteps, even starting to do a little hop, skip and jump just to land on the spots he'd last stepped on.

"How about you?" She hums quietly, careful not to aggravate her wounds even as she bounces about. "You had to fight with the League, right? Did you get hurt?"

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Bryan did admire the more chaotic members of rocket as they were a pretty good way to alleviate boredom. The cutieflies cheer as they circle around their new playmate Eris Halla and led the group by slowly flying in front of them at a steady pace so that they could keep up with the pretty speedy bugs. [break][break]
"I see." he said at a bit of a lost for words. He was pretty bad when it came to apologies and he certainly owed eva one. Ugh, fucking pain in the ass, why did he have to care? Why did he care? He stuffed those thoughts away as this wasn't the right place nor time for them, if he started to think about her... [break][break]
"Me?" he said out loud "For the most part I was unharmed, my Pokémon though. Clefairy sacrificed itself and took a pretty nasty hit, she's being treated as we speak." he said as visiting hours for Pokémon were closed, if they weren't he'd have still been there. [break][break]
The pair slowly yet surely arrived at the community courtyard in the northwing, as Eris arrived she'd be greeted with a beautiful garden housing a variety of flowers which Bryan figured elijah gardner probably had a hand in. His cutieflies immediately sped over to the garden like the pollen demons they were as they fought over which flower to pollinate

Like Gavin, Bryan doesn't quite seem to be one for apologies. She can sense the hesitance in his actions, resists the urge to look directly at him when he falls silent. Instead, she chooses to play around with the cutieflies, giving each one a small hug as Reiner tries his best to ensure she doesn't fall.

"Oh…" Right, she recalls watching the poor Clefairy take the brunt of the League's aggression, sacrificing herself in the midst of chaos just to take one of them down. "I hope she gets better… Maybe we can make a cake for her? I have momma's secret recipe written down inside a book!"

It's better to provide a little break from the aftermath of the excursion, Eris is pretty sure that he must have had a hard time with Cillian Quinn already. Instead, she finds interest in the flourishing blossoms, urging Reiner to follow as she wanders close to the brushes. "Lavenders, chamomiles, freesias, azaleas…" The names come to her naturally, their names recited by heart as she points at each species. Eventually, her gaze falls upon the hydrangeas, mesmerised by their swirling shades of blues, purples and pinks as she reaches out to its petals.

"There used to be a field outside my home… one filled with flowers like these." Not wishing to incur the wrath of whatever gardener that tends to these plants, Eris chooses to pick the flowers that have already been shaken off but still remain fresh, nimble fingers weaving their stems to form a beautiful flower crown. With a light hop to her feet, she scampers over to bryan delarosa, beckoning for him to lean in closer just so that she can place the crown upon his head.

"In autumn, we used to spend the afternoon making flower crowns and jumping around leaf patches." She can almost hear the crunching of dried leaves under her feet, the memories of a setting sun warm on her skin. "Did you ever have moments like that?"

[attr="class","bryanbody"] Cooking huh? It was one of the few things he had to learn from roughing it out in the woods. Baking however was something he didn't really understand at all, the slightest adjustment in a measurement and the whole thing was ruined. "Maybe? I'm no good at baking so it'd mostly be you." he answered to her, struggling to find out what to even talk about with her.

God why did he agree to indulge her in this? It's not that she was bothering him or anything but he just didn't know what to even say or talk about with her. As Eris named each flower Bryan's eyebrow raised a bit, did she like flowers a lot? Bryan walked over to the garden and found a spot to sit in that wouldn't crush any. [break][break]
"Where did you live?" he asked as he wanted to learn a little bit more about Eris. He smirked a little bit and indulged in her silliness allowing the crown to be placed on his head. as she talked about her home more before asking if he ever did stuff like that. [break][break]
His cutieflies tried to suck out some of the nectar in the flowers on his crowns before he tried to swat them away before just allowing them to do their thing. "Yes, we did. Grew up in littleroot so there wasn't much to do besides stuff like that." he lied, he didn't have a happy child hood. He acted out as a kid to try and garner his parent's attention but eventually they just saw him as a wreckless deviant who would often end up punished because of his antics.

Making a cake by herself is no easy task but as long as she follows the recipe and doesn't try to mess around with the oven, she's more than qualified to bake by herself! Turns out that attempting to increase the heat to shorten the baking time only results in a thoroughly charred surface and runny insides... Not so much a cake and more like a forbidden smoothie?

"Kanto, somewhere near Vermilion City." Her thoughts on the matter dissipate with a moment of silence, uncertain of the reaction she may get if Bryan were to be informed of the region's fate. "Lived there with my parents and when Reiner was just a baby Shinx." With the mention of his past, the Luxray sighs and ambles over, gently headbutting her as if telling her to move on. And she obliges, not before she envelopes him in a shower of giggles and hugs, hands daringly pulling at the ends of his lips as she tries to make him smile.

"He was really tiny back then but now he's my height." She stands beside him and places a head upon each of their head, sliding it horizontally across as if it'll solidify her statement any further than plain old eyesight does.

"Do you have any siblings?" One thing that does interest her about Bryan is his usage of 'we', implicating that he wasn't the only one who had shared in such childhood wonders. "I don't recall ever having one, but maybe they're out there somewhere!"

Anywhere but in those charred ruins that reek of death and despair...

[attr="class","bryanbody"]"Kanto huh?" He said a bit puzzled as to the answer to that question. "Were your parents in rocket or something? How'd you end up here?" he asked her as it was a bit confusing as to why she'd be in rocket given what happen in kanto. But then again, Bryan's knowledge on the region was limited since he never went but he only heard stories online. [break][break]

Bryan hated to admit it but she was absolutely precious. He looked away from her and Reiner as his cutieflies tried to collect the pollen on the cat's bodies probably tickling the creature all over. [break][break]
She then asked a question that he sometimes wishes he could forget. Did he have a sister? "Yes I do." he answers curtly. He realizes it would be mean for him to leave it at just that before he laid back in the flowers suddenly not caring if he messed up the flower bed.[break][break]

"My younger sister. Soleil." he adds as he thinks back to her. The only family member he truly missed, the only one he ever saw as pure. One of the things his family stole from him. "I haven't seen her in years though."

"Nope, not at all. I was just born and raised in Kanto." These questions tread on dangerous waters, becomes an ocean that threatens to swallow her if she so as much trips up. "As for how I got here... someone from Rocket found me wandering the wastelands and rescued me from that place."

Rescued is a strong word but rescued is the only word that fits this very context. Offered the very hands that had razed her home to the grounds, Eris would no doubt have turned them away, perhaps even bared her teeth and readied for a fight. But she had been tired, scared out of her wits and left on edge with no one to depend on. Sources of food and water had been scarce, survivors of the aftermath had turned against her out of paranoia, the stench of dried blood and decay had settled deep into her clothes.

But she shows no change in emotion, merely continues to busy her hands with the making of a new flower crown. The sight of Reiner getting bugged by the Cutieflies also comes as a welcome distraction - Though he tries his best to hide it, the Luxray is hopping a little whenever they touch his sides, edging away from the fairies as he hurriedly scoots closer to Eris.

"Still ticklish huh, Reiner? What if I got you… over here!" A hand reaches out with mischievous intent, a muffled yowl escaping the giant cat as he jumps away from her. Betrayal is clear in his gaze, a look quickly swept away once he spies the joy in her eyes. "Soleil… sounds warm… like the sun! Well technically it does mean the sun, but you get what I mean!" She kicks back, sprawling out on the grass as she lays in whatever meagre shade Reiner can provide from the artificial lighting above. "What's she like? If she's like you then… really nice? Maybe a bit of a prankster?"

A smile crosses her lips, her project of weaving flower crown resumed as she considers the possibilities.

"I'd like to meet her someday… Maybe we can go on adventures together!"
