his hand pushes hers out of the way, sends it grazing past his neck, and he immediately swivels on the ball of his foot, moving sideways. he doesn't throw a punch.

It is a jolt, albeit a temporary one, when his hand closes around her fist and redirects it. Her skin grazes his neck but the impact is gone, the force behind it quelled by his last-minute save. [break][break]

He continues to talk, and she continues to stare him down.[break][break]

Where he moves, she moves with him. Her foot aims to hook his in the middle of his step in an attempt to trip him or sweep the leg. She notes how he doesn't fight back. It is much the same as the way Marie had fought, but without the crocodile tears.[break][break]
