he echoes her words as he had spent most of his time watching her battle instead of his. but to be fair to him, grimmsnarl seems to have it handled — the sceond FALSE SURRENDER seems to be enough to down the dottler.

he decides not to catch this one.

"i've been fishing a few times! not a fan of waking up early in the morning but it's pretty fun. maybe we can go together sometimes."

“I love fishing!” Robbin gasped when Danny mentioned the hobby. “Well, I love my way of fishing,” She added but did not elaborate. It either included some drawn out battles or her diving in to try and catch something with her bare hands. She watched the bug pokemon go down.

“We should totally go, do you know any good spots?” Robbin didn’t know many yet, but she was hoping to find some.

Robbin threw her ball at the wailmer to give her primarina a break from battling. “You did great, thanks,” She praised the white pokemon who went to go talk to the galarian ponyta once again. She then looked back to her grimmsnarl.

“You should keep him,” Robbin said, motioning to the dark/fairy pokemon. “I don’t have strong ties yet and he likes you better anyways,” She didn’t want to think about it long or she’d be greedy and think about how she’d eventually have to catch another grimmsnarl to fill it’s place.

the suggestion lingers in the air for her to pick up on. he's in the middle of giving grimmsnarl a good old pat on the back when her voice pulls him away. but it's what she says that catches his attention.

"what? keep him? are you sure, robbin?" he doesn't outright deny it because to be honest he has grown quite fond of the dark-type. he turns to look back at the grimmsnarl, then shrugs. "i mean, if you're sure...and i guess if grimmsnarl wants to."

it nods.

“Yeah, you’ll enjoy each other,” Robbin shrugged. The conversation was over when something orange streaked past the corner of her eye, her next pokemon. She dove into the water in a divebomb, causing the bruizzel to panic from the sudden fray.

The poor thing slammed into the bank wall near Danny, head lolling and body limp. Her dewott jumped into the battle and forced the dazed pokemon onto land.

Robbin popped through the surface of the water, looking worried. “I didn’t mean to scare it like that,” She said, gingerly swimming back to the shore. She threw a ball as it started regaining its whereabouts. She didn’t want to have to beat it anymore.

“Do you have your phone on you?” Robbin asked, wiping her hands off on some grass to rid the excess water. “I’ll give you my number and we can go fishing sometime, or anything honestly,” Maybe she’d get a new texting buddy.

Robbin took the new phone and did a quick look over before typing her phone number with the contact name being Robbin. “Two b’s,” She affirms as she hands the phone back. “You can call and text anytime, I’m normally just doing stuff like this anyways,” She said with a wide grin, she hoped he’d want to have a second hang session.

“No problem!” Grimmsnarl was a good pokemon, but she didn’t doubt that she’d meet one that likes her. “Plus, I have a bunch of new pokemon anyways,” She said, glancing at all the balls that held new friends despite losing one.

“Thanks for the company, it would have been a lot less fun without someone,” She felt an awkward pain in her chest as she lingered quietly for a few moments.

“I should go,” Robbin hated saying goodbye and hated this-- the awkward part. She returned all of her pokemon into their balls and managed to get all her things together. “It was nice meeting you Danny and I expect to see great things from that Grimmsnarl,” She said as she pulled on her clothes. From bikini to a bright yellow hoodie and jeans Robbin turned away and left the route, waving excitedly back to Danny and her old pokemon.
