Last time she saw him it was back in her office, today it would be on a battle stage. Gina didn't imagine that she would face off against Matias of all people, but she had no complaints. The conversation was pleasant and Gina looked forward to battling with him, it was a chance to get to know him better she supposed.

There was a decent crowd watching them, which was expected. Gaze settling on the man across from her, "how does a single battle sound,matias?" A pokeball cracked open and a slowking stood on the field, waiting for the start.

Pearl is not interested in Matias or the mans sudowoodo. the slowking kicks at some of the sand until she felt her trainers cold glare. "Yawn" With Gina's command, pearl faces matias sudowoodo inducing the pokemon to feel drowsy.

soon, both pokemon will fall asleep, and then it'll be a battle to see who can wake up quickest.

It went differently from what she had anticipated. It was a clever move on Matias's part, the mimic was completely unexpected.
The crowd had lost interest in the battle, walking away and going to check out the many other battles that were going on at the asme time - gina didn't blame them.

Pearl showed no signs of waking up anytime soon, the slowking looked very peaceful and worry free as they dozed off. Gina figured it would be a waste of time to try and wake her up, she could only hope the sudowoodo would sleep for longer.

"Their Loss, missing out on an incredible battle. " Gina smiles, offering Matias a shrug. She observes both pokemon, neither of which displayed signs of waking up anytime soon.

"It's fine. Things are going how I expected." She responds swiftly eyes glance towards her slowking who looked to be sleeping pleasantly.

"How you liking hoenn?"

which is a bad thing considering their situation. with threats looming all around them, matias fails to see how they can relax.

"The summer does get pretty intense, this summer in particular. " Gina nods her head agreeing to both of his statements. Gina was born in Hoenn but still hasn't gotten used to the heat.

"It's fun yes, my first year partaking actually. " She smiles, happy it had exceeded expectations.

Pearl finally decides to awake from her slumber, which was perfect since it gave her the upper hand.

"Raindance"

Clouds appear as Pearl begins to dance, and slowly rain trickles down onto the field.

"finally! alright, bud, close the distance."

with a nod, sudowoodo springs off the ground, leaping forward to throw a WOOD HAMMER.

"Dodge it" Despite the command, Pearl fails to do so. Slammed by the supper effective move, the slowking takes heavy damage and is slow to rise back onto it's feet.

Soon as Pearl gets back up, Gina orders her to attack.

"Hydro pump"

A powerful force of water is hurled towards Matias's sudowoodo, it's speed doubled due to the raindance effects.
