Standard Single Battle w/ 3 Pokemon Each

Having sat himself down for a while to go over what he knew he knew in battling, the basics at least of type advantages and the Pokemon that he had with him, Tadashi wanted to do his best to try to prepare for his first battle. This would be his first competitive battle ever that he’d participated in, and needless to say, he was quite nervous. It was a basic one Pokemon versus one Pokemon match, and he needed to have three Pokemon with him. And the first person to faint the other’s three Pokemon would be the winner. It sounded basic and simple enough, but was he actually ready to take on someone else competitively?
It was too late to second guess himself, having prepared Nanghi, Coda, and Yamper, his name was called out to the section for his battle and it was going to be ready to begin soon… Tadashi swallowed thickly, he really wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but he had his Pokedex, and he had a good grasp of what his Pokemon were capable of, so he would at least be able to do his best.

Heading out towards his allocated area for the battle to begin, Tadashi was ready to meet his opponent.

I'm addicted to the panic

Amor was waiting patiently for whomever was going to be his opponent at this specific arena. So far he had numerous challenges, and he wasn't going to stop, or let up anytime soon. With his team returned for the moment they had gotten to know the city of Slateport intimately through all of their battles. So he was fairly confident in what they were going to be able to do, that was when he saw someone of similar age to him approach. They had been announced in the same way he had, and so he stood up to meet his opponent head on, a smile on his lips.

"I see so you're my opponent this time...It's nice to meet you Tadashi, let's see how well you do, but I'll warn you I don't plan on pulling any punches. To face you with anything less than my best would be an insult." He chuckled, and then tossed one of his pokeballs into the air. "Zahak, come!" he ordered, and in a flash of light his Dragapult appeared floating behind him like an ever present guard. He was curious as to what sort of Pokemon his opponent had, but Zahak was a tough first opponent for anyone to go against.

As ready as he'd ever be, Tadashi waited for his opponent assigned for this battle as he turned at the sound of someone approaching him. He glanced in the general direction of movement, looking around with his pale, cloudy eyes, Cassio beside him strapped in his working harness with his leash clutched tightly in Tadashi's hand. To say that he was nervous about his first battle was an understatement...

"It's nice to meet you too," Tadashi breathed a bit heavily, greeting his opponent. He wasn't sure how this was going to go, but the least he could do was give it a try? He could appreciate the notion that his opponent in this match was going to treat it just like any other match out there, in a strange way, it was comforting almost? He'd get the experience of a real for real battle, and maybe be able to decide when he needs to do differently from here...
Without a moment more, his opponent released their first Pokemon, and Tadashi could really only make out the most basic forms of its shape with the openness of the area.

"Right, okay, uh, sorry...," he apologized, fumbling a moment before utilizing his Pokedex. He listened quickly as the device referred to the Pokemon in question as a Dragapult, a ghost and dragon type Pokemon. Of course a ghost was going to be his first opponent...
"Thank you for being here for the challenge, I appreciate it. Nanghi and I will do what we can to get started," Tadashi replied, taking out his first Pokeball and letting out Nanghi the Copperajah. If anything, while Nanghi wasn't fast, she was tough and sturdy, and that was going to be what he would need to rely on with having a ghost out on the field. It seemed to at least have a physical form, but that wasn't to say that it wouldn't disappear.

The boy sent out a Copperahja, and that was a good choice for an opponent such as his Dragapult. It would keep him on edge, and it boasted impressive defensive abilities being a pure steel type. A worthy opponent for his dragon. Though he was going to put it to the test just to see how how formidable they were, so he was going to start off with an attack that would wittle them down slowly. It wouldn't be hardly affective due to the type discrepancy, but it would serve as a constant annoyance to the boys pokemon, and slowly whittle them down. A smile spread on his lips, and he gave a simple nod to Zahak.

Opening it's maw ghostly flies began to pour forth like some sort of Egyptian plague, and they headed straight for the elephant in an attempt to swirl around him slowly sap his lifeforce. Infestation was a nasty move that would continually sap the enemies strength unless they had a way to defend against it. It also made returning very difficult, so if it was successful Amor was curious to see how the two of them handled it. Already Zahak was preparing for it's next move as it Locked On to the Copperahja studying every move that it was making so it could make it's next one easily enough.

There were many variables to assess still, so the Dragon wasn't going to take any chances against an enemy that was resistant to many of his moves. He would have to rely on his guile, and intelligence to overcome the mobile fortress in front of him. Though this wouldn't be the first time he'd have to do it, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. His trainer had the utmost faith in him to carry out this battle, and reach the conclusion of victory so he would.

"Don't be so tense...Battles are meant to be fun, and a way to test your skills against others that might be of similar strength to you. Just relax, and everything will flow properly." He said giving the boy some advice as he seemed slightly nervous from Amor's perspective.
