In the distance, A Toxapex harasses a Corsola. Calliope watches vaguely before the surf changes, an errant wave rising up. The two pokemon vanished from sight after, the victor of their struggle an unknown to the woman.

Leaning over, she gave a small pat to the Bulbasaur's head.

PASSING

An Octillery's arms slap wetly on damp rock, hosting the aquatic pokemon above the surf.

It's close, only separated by a few feet of water, but the pokemon does not seem wary. It raises a tentacle in a mockery of a wave, friendly, and Callie raises her own hand to wave back.

How many humans had it seen do just that? Cute.

But she leaves the pokemon to it's business.

PASSING

She's getting ready to turn in when an otter floats past. A moment later it's on the beach, shaking water off it's fur. It pauses after a moment, catching her eye, freezing as if just realizing she was there.

Callie raises her hand blandly and waves at it like she did the Octillery.

It stays frozen a moment before it finally seems to relax. Not really her taste, but...

Ah, yes, someone she knew had wanted one, didn't they? Who had that been...

Slowly, she reaches into her bag. A tin of pokemon treats is pulled out. The eager mouths of her Charmander and Bulbasaur get one before she holds out a handful for the Dewott.

It seems apprehensive but does approach.

Soon, it's munching away and she gently pats it on the head while she takes out one of her pokeballs.
