Fallen angels float above them, poison dripping in dark promises onto unsuspecting ground.[break][break]

Callie sneered as they glide past. Tension pricks down her spine, expertly hidden in tightly drawn fists.[break][break]

She has no Sygna Suit, but she wears her best rough-necking outfit. A small bag slung across her shoulders. A Ponyta is tossed out to match Thin Lizzy, the fire type snorting steam and digging a hoof into the dirt below. Callie places her hand on the pokemon's flank to calm it.[break][break]

"I'll be fine, so long as you guide us well."[break][break]

It is a warning and a promise all in one, though which way it turns she will not say.

Callie seemed like she might protest- but Amor Rose had proven himself to be reliable enough to at least make him way out of this strange place. If he happened to perish somehow here, she would not feel his blood on her hands.[break][break]

With a nod and a wave, she wished him her own 'goodbye' before turning to make her way towards where she had originally come from.

When Calliope had been awkward and shy to approach others, Gravel had been the one to encourage her. It was thanks to him she finally found something she had been good at. Her parents and sister had always loved her, sure, but it was Gravel who had made her feel accepted.[break][break]

"You had no way of knowing." That wound was one that still throbbed but she wasn't as sensitive with it as she had been. It was nice to think of the good memories even if it was painful. [break][break]

It was, in the end, very sad. The Dragonite behind Callie gave a mournful hum. Leaning over, she tried to gather both Callie and her baby into her arms. Callie's good eye twitched but she didn't fight it.

Callie hummed some and turned her head, staring out at the crystal. Something in the low light moved, making her frown. Amor Rose had a pokemon out but she didn't. So, she plucked two pokeballs from her belt and tossed them out.[break][break]

A dragonite and a dratini, the larger pokemon looking at the other of it's kind curiously. The dratini crawled up into Callie's lap and coiled up, where she started to absently pet it.[break][break]

"We should be more alert." But nothing seemed to be interested in attacking them... for the moment.

Callie's gaze slid over Amor Rose's arms, slow and careful ad she made her assessment. No real judgement or emotion showed on her face at the scars and burns; after all, who was she to judge or cast stones at someone's appearance? [break][break]

"Even if we prefer who we are now, that didn't mean our old selves deserved the hurt they endured." [break][break]

It feels odd from her mouth. Callie didn't know this man, didn't know what sins weighed on his soul. But why let that stop her from extending some form of kind hand?
