Thus, dodging an attack from a slow creature like Ferrothorn, it should be easy, right? Sadly, being bulkier and taller than its others species-mate, Ash was also slower.[break][break] Plus... it wasn't her style to back down from a challenge. As the metal creature was spinning and charging in, the volcano pokemon instead lunged forward, using its claws to try and grab the Ferrothorn and keep it in place. Balder sighed as he saw his pokemon act, but that was fine. The idea wasn't bad, but it was reckless, as was tradition from it.[break][break] Tanking the damage dealt by the Gyro Ball, the Typhlosion's flames on its back began to shine brighter and stronger. An attack was coming. "Kid, it was a bold move to go up close and personal. Especially since your flying tool gave you a run-through of my pokemon's moves. But in a battle, in a war, it's not just the moves that do a difference: it's how they are applied. How far you and your pokemon are willing to go. Melt it away, Ash."[break][break] The Typhlosion's maw opened, releasing an intense heat and light before a surge of Lava Plume gushed out to attempt to drown the Ferrothorn and deal as much damage as possible. The flames on her back and head suddenly went silent, non-apparent. But instead, a pitch black Smokescreen emerged from the pores on her back, covering the battle scene as she dropped on all fours.[break][break] Using the smoke as a cover, she proceeded to move out of the way of the Gyro Ball. Surely with its movements, it would disperse the smoke so Ash made sure to get some distance between them as well, preparing to counter attack soon. His handicap wasn't much of one in this setting, luckily for him. It's a good thing it wasn't a war field, like Hoenn had a couple of months ago.[break][break] As the Smokescreen dissipated, the Ferrothorn was now resuming the assault, attempting to close in while shooting Pin Missiles from above. But the Typhlosion was ready to receive it all. "UNLEASH IT ALL, ASH!" Taking a deep breath, the creature reared its head back to allow for more air to enter his body.[break][break] Once the charging was complete, the Typhlosion released it all in one fell swoop, Burning Up all of his flames as they gushed out of his maw to travel towards the Ferrothorn, hopefully burning the Pin Missile at the same time.
