now that Primarina had evolved to the point she could safely ferry Alice around, the pair made their way to the Water Routes. clinging to the neck of the majestic siren, Alice would sit upright once they slowed down. in the middle of Hoenn's ocean was a grand place to look for water-types. there was no better place!

"okay, we'll start here" Alice pulls out her cellphone, one of the few electronic devices she owned on her trainer's salary "then we'll go back to town" the siren gives a coo of agreement "hopefully something will come along." she sounded uncertain but last time had been good. Froslass was welcomed into their party.

the Clawitzer was seen, but Alice did not move to attack. she peered below the waves and watched it drift underneath her Primarina. the wild Pokemon would look up, waving a claw at her as it passed. she waved back and straightened up.

it would seem they'd have to look a bit harder at this to find a willing participant! not that Alice minded; as much as she wanted to battle and grow stronger, she also didn't want to force a wild Pokémon to come along.

it was cute, but she wasn't just looking for cute. Skiploom sailed above her head, trilling happily, along with the breeze. Alice smiled up at the type of Pokemon she didn't train before her eyes dropped to the water again. one more search and they'd have to admit defeat. oh well, sometimes you got lucky. other times you didn't. she could accept it.

"a-ha!" Alice would perk up at the Omastar's emergence from the depths.

the fossil type was a perfect find! "let's get it!" she says to her partner, the siren trilling with agreement. shooting a Moonblast at the approaching ancient, it would hit square on. another barrage of attacks would follow, resulting in the Omastar's faint.

she'd toss a Pokeball at the floating fossil, hoping to capture it. adding it to her growing collection, you bet. she wasn't going home empty-handed. no way, no how. Omastar were rare. but she also wanted to train it, get to know it... that sort of thing. as all Pokemon trainers should.
