before long, a Dewott would appear. curious as an otter and lookin' strong, no doubt about that. shame though. she had a Samurott. "hey there, lil guy" Dutch would say to it warmly "sorry 'bout that" seemed like she interrupted it hunting fish "move along. nothin' to see here." she attempts to shoo it away, a soft spot for any sea animals makes her stay her hand.

Dewott chitters until she places a hand under its chin, tickling it. giving her fingers a quick lick, it'd dive back into the water. perhaps it knew she wasn't going to hurt it. perhaps it could smell the samurai otter on her skin. whatever the case was, it vanished from sight after giving Dutch a wave. the woman would continue on, crossing the bridge to the other side.

nobody wanted a Hypno. not even a Hypno. the beastie made it's way across her path but she gave it a wide berth. not particularly looking for anything like it, Dutch would save her Pokeballs for something fiercer. something that'd make her call out her Pokemon for a fight. damn, she was itching for one.

but all good things came to those that waited. this was no different. she had to be patient. she had to embody patience. even if she wanted to teeter over and fall on the ground, nursing a terrible hangover. the cool ground of the falls might be soothing for her pounding headache. ah well, she had one more trek to do before that.

some would say it was suicide, jumping from a cliff. she would agree. the Bagon landed in her arms instead of flying above the clouds. to each their own, she guessed. c'est la vie. Dutch stared. the baby dragon stared. then it burst into tears. "shit." she wasn't very good at the whole crying thing. raising a hand awkwardly, she patted it even more awkwardly.

"one day you'll grow up" Dutch begins "but you won't do it alone. join my crew, and I'll make sure you're soaring in the sky. a mighty force to be reckoned with!" 'course the Bagon could do it alone but desperation was good to take advantage of. the dragon was a rarity and she was eager to add it to her collection. if she had to lie a little bit...

the icing on the cake.

Bagon ate it up like candy. or cake. whatever. it chirps in her arm, beckoning to be tapped with a Pokeball. Dutch laughs, taking one from her belt and slapping it on the Bagon's head. engulfing it in light, the ball wobbled in her hand.
