"my bad; did i keep you waiting long?"

he shrugs a backpack off his shoulders, lowering it gently onto the grass. it's about as heavy as hers, maybe a little less.

"store closed yet?"

it was best to be prepared for this mission. Cian would come also with a bag, bending down next to her. "no" she says, having her attention too much elsewhere to really damage his reputation for lateness "and yes."

taking a Pokeball from her belt, she would call out her Sinistea. "Mori" she commands quietly "scout ahead" withdrawing into the shadows, the teacup Pokemon would vanish. "Dybbuk..." she calls out another ghost, this time a Spiritomb.

"Hypnosis."

floating toward the group of guards, it's eyes would glow and place them under the spell. the humans and Pokemon would drop, giving them a few minutes of opportunity. "let's go." Siobhan says, plucking her bag from the ground and taking off toward the store.

[attr="class","cian"]not much work needs to be done from cian's end. she handles the situation, taking control with such ease that makes him question whether he's actually needed there.

regardless, he nods, picking up his backpack before following after her.

they slip past the sleeping guards, entering the store. with no one around them, what better to do but small talk?

"so, you do this often?"

"you mean" she says with faint amusement "do I commit criminal activities often?" she pauses, checking to see if there were guards inside the store. no doubt there were cameras; so once they did enter the store, she pulled the mask over her face. with two little eyeholes peering out at Cian, she continued.

"I do what I have to do to get by" a folklorist salary was not as 'meaty' as she'd like "most of it is thinking on your feet, using what is given to you..." she says this in a hush for the cameras may be watching. thankfully the lobby is where they were housing the display of gems. no need to use the elevator or the staircase.

Siobhan steps back to allow Cian some of the work. gesturing to the glass display, she waits for him to do his part.

[attr="class","cian"]the mask is pulled over his face as well and he shifts his posture, lowering. he walks differently, almost oddly, but it's just the little extra effort he puts in to mask his identity.

"sure, sure."

the natural instinct is to simply smash through the glass but that would no doubt activate a ton of alarms. so he reaches into his backpack for the appropriate tools and soon gets to work.

even then, he still finds the time to say:

"my offer to show you around slateport's still on the table, by the way."

Mori comes back, shaking her little teacup head. it seemed the bulk of the security was on the front gate. unknown to anyone who spoke Pokémon, the Sinistea would mess with some of the electrical wiring, turning off the camera in the lobby.

that gave them time until a security guard noticed it was out. no alarm blared to life while Cian worked though. "mhm." she doesn't want to say much to identify them. even with the visuals off, the audio was still rolling.

but it is an accepting murmur. all he had to do was call on her when in Slateport.

with a final flick of his wrist, the glass comes clean off. he reaches a hand in, scooping their steal for the night and carefully dropping them into his backpack.

"we good on time?"

"ahead of schedule."

she would inform him, checking her wrist watch. Cian grabbed the gems - it was time to go. Siobhan was almost disappointed in how easy it was. then again she contributed to the bulk of the effort, making the guards asleep.

taking off and out the door with Cian, she'd only stop once they hit the woods. before them, the guards were struggling awake. soon, a panic would ensure when they all realized the gems were gone.

her Pokémon returned to her. Siobhan recalled them quietly before pulling the mask off. "we'll deliver that and be done for the night" she informs Cian, knowing the drop was close by.
