"I was figuring out the depths of my eardrums when I was yer age, Eris, I think it's safe to say yer plenty smart." The youth said with a snort, laughing as she mentioned the ever prideful adults.

"Most adults are all backwards. They'll tell us to grow up, but never let us do anything; demand we act twice our age but treat us like it's half." The youth's eyes rolled so hard they almost slipped out of their sockets. Clearly, this was something he had plenty of experience with- as Eris likely did as well.

Junior suddenly began blabbering in incomprehensible Machopese as he ran up to Boomer, kicking the ball shaped pokemon towards the spiked volleyball and prompting the Spheal to fly into the net, the webbing stretching far back before launching the pokemon back into Doug's court.

Akua was there to recieve, the spheal smashing into her stubby arms and flying into the air in a gentle Arc.

And that was when Doug leapt up onto Junior's hand and was launched up, the youth bringing his palm cracking across the Spheal's cheeks before launching it down onto the sandy court.

He landed on his ass on the sand, splatting and raising a dusty cloud.

"What made school so difficult?" The youth asked while on the floor, wondering if the girl had run into the same problems as him.

Probably not. Eris Halla was actually smart.

A somewhat touchy topic, but one that she'd led the conversation into herself. In her momentary discomfort, she fails to react to the Spheal, watching as it hits the sand and harmlessly bounces off. Picking the Spheal up, Latte serves it with a gentle Tail Slap, looking to Eris to check on her.

Ah. I see." Doug said, brow furrowing slightly at that, gently bumping the ball back to the other side of the field.

"Despite all that... Would you have liked to stay in school? Or were you glad for homeschooling?" He asked, something clearly going through his head.

Doug's brow furrowed as he saw poor Eris go through the several stages of self-deprecation, before swinging himself under the web, waving the referee.

"You handle the rest." He said dismissively, his team following after him dramatically as they each vaulted over the web.

"Wait for me, Eris!" The youth called out, unwilling to give up on the girl just yet.
