Salandit was hiding. Of course it was. That was the best strategy when the world around oneself had gone to crap, after all. Leaning against the wall of the miniature shack it was hiding in, it could hear another impact nearby. The Octillery was probably still bombarding the Pikachu down the street, which was just waiting for its opportunity to get close enough to shock the other. Well, at least that was the last Salandit had seen before ducking into this place, drenching the entry in venom to harm anyone who dared follow it. And that should give it a little breather at least.

Things had started innocently enough. This special little battle was set in a miniaturized version of some old Unovan desert town. All the Pokemon involved – most of them of the smaller variety, to fit the theme – had even been given little cowboy hats. Salandit had a black one that it already liked. Its trainer could not give a lot of input, since they were all sitting outside the town of sorts and there were buildings to hide in. In fact, going in here was the last command it had heard, after taking a cheap shot at a Poochyena and Bulbasaur rolling around in melee on the street. This was a battle of survival, after all. And Salandit would focus either on whoever was stupid enough to follow it inside, or wait until there was only one enemy left to fight.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]A battle royale eh? Things were rather interesting this go around as the setting for the battle was a mini fictional cowboy aesthetic.. He didn't really have a pokemon to mimic this kind of aesthetic but he was in luck, there were accessories they were allowed to use! [break][break]

And so bryan picked his scorbunny and had it dressed up in it's accessories like a cowboy hat and even gave it a cool little belt too. The scorbunny seemed to be on it's own for the most part, especially since his trainer was probably getting drunk someplace and watching from the sidelines so he had to just find a cool place to hang out until the rest of the other pokemon go down. [break][break]

He happened upon a little place that seemed quiet for the most part, until he walked in and immediately stepped on the venom and poisoned himself immediately. Scorbunny immediately reacted by igniting it's foot and stomping on the poison until it evaporated. But the damage was already done, scorbunny is poisoned and looking around for whoever set that trap up.

And thus a little bunny wandered into the lizard’s lair. There was a snickering sound to be heard in the dark, as Salandit enjoyed what it saw. Not just the success, either, the agitated way the other reacted was nice too. Emotional, quick to anger….yes, that was something she could use.

Slinking through the darkness, her dark body clearly acted in her benefit as she moved about. “Sala….” It said, quietly, a hushing whisper through the shack. There wasn’t a whole lot of space here, but she wanted to give the other something to latch onto – just so it could swiftly scurry through the dark towards the other side, readying up a Venoshock to fire at the Scorbunny, once it would probably go to randomly attack the wall.
Bright and colourful Pokemon like this….they always had such trouble with the dark.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The scorbunny heard a rather eerie noise from within the walls of the establishment he managed to wander in on. Welp little did the predator know, this scorbunny was trigger happy and began to spit around embers all over the place to try and light up the room and maybe hit it due to sheer luck. [break][break]

However sadly a venoshock was fired at it for attacking only adding to it's fear and paranoia and causing it to head back towards outside the building from where it came in.

Trigger happy was good. Well, kind of. Salandit quite enjoyed seeing the Scorbunny like this, especially after it was hit by the poison in the back. Sadly though, with that good came also the bad of random embers flying everywhere. Being a fire type, Sala was not hurt too much by that, but it still hissed at the pain. And then there was the small, but not inconsequential matter of the building now being on fire which was also not optimal.

Ah, well. Not like she had a choice. With the small building theatrically burning down, Salandit used its Dragon Pulse to blast open part of the wall near where it had seen the Scorbunny try to get away, hoping to hit it with the attack or parts of the destroyed stage, before rushing outside with a hiss, quickly looking for a new hiding place.
After all, there were still Octazookas being fired all over the town, currently driving the Bulbasaur that had disengaged from its opponent towards the Pikachu.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The scorbunny just BARELY managed to get out of the way of the dragon pulse, fully knowing that it was the intended target and only missed from sheer luck. Maybe it was that rabbit's foot that saved him? He did only duck because he restepped on the poison that he didnt get to burn away and it hurt his foot so he instinctively reached for it. [break][break]

Once outside the establishment though Scorbunny was able to spot the thing responsible for the poison! Time for some revenge! Scorbunny used agility and grabbed a rock from the floor as it dashed around and via some cool jumps and tricks kicked three rocks at the salandit to try and hurt it.

Rocks, really? Salandit somewhat prided itself in the ability to even poison those with its corrosion ability. But it was annoying to be hit by those, especially when the Pokemon pelting it with them was so hard to grasp. She was getting annoyed, trying to track that stupid thing, but didn’t really know what else to do.
“Sweet Scent,” came the order from far away, but Sala could make it out regardless. Yes, that was a good idea. Even though the rocks hurt, she concentrated briefly, before then exhaling a particularly enticing odour, one that would hopefully make the Scorbunny a bit more sluggish, a bit more…palatable. That was what it had used in the wild to attract prey and keep it confined, after all. Not much use as a trainer’s Pokemon most of the time, but maybe today.

That bunny did look rather delicious after all. And since it was a fire type, it wouldn’t get burnt too easily when roasted, too. Mhm….

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The slightest hit of a sweet scent slowly creeped it's way into scorbunny's nostrils and distracted it from running and made it not want to run away from that beautiful scent. He HAD to make a quick U-turn! Despite the fact he didn't know that move, Scorbunny immediately turned on it's heel. [break][break]

He got into the track starting position and used quick attack to leap off of the salandit like a spring board (or at least try this horrible idea) to bolt TOWARDS the amazing voice smell.

That was…unexpected to say the least. Sala had expected an attack, not being hopped upon. Which, naturally, kind of irritated it to the point where it fired a heavy toxic at the Scorbunny while it was close like that, just out of pure spite. A fight, it could take. A hunt, it would want. But being used like some springboard? No, that just would not do.

To add to all that, however, there was an octazooka impact, not 3 feet from her, than another a little behind. Apparently, the Octillery was either after them now, or was hitting their area for some other reason now.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The scorbunny got hit by the poison that sala spat up upon it, growing rather annoyed that this overgrown lizzard kept attacking it! He just wanted to find a nice safe quiet spot! One that smelled good too! Why was it getting in his way!? [break][break]

It's blaze ability activated as the poison and the poison attacks began to whittle down his health. It was go time, Scorbunny's feet ignited and the pokemon did a jump kick covered in fire as he used flame charge at the salandit, trying to keep it there for the octazooka to hit it.

The Salandit hissed. That thing really should be reeling by now, shouldn’t it? But somehow, it kept coming back to annoy her! There a fiery kick, one that slightly singed her, and she only knew how to respond in kind. Grabbing that burning leg with both hands, it then tried to keep it there while spewing a mighty flamethrower from its mouth!

Evette, in the meantime, noticed the number of participants whittling down. There were only five Pokemon left standing. Those two, a hiding Ekans, the Octillery and the Pikachu. At the very least, they had made it into the top category here now.
Then again, only the last ‘Mon standing counted, right?

[attr="class","bryanbody"]After the flamethrower from salandit was over scorbunny sat there, it's beautiful white fur toasted and turned black from soot as he let out a cough. [break][break]

He shoot the soot off of his face, realizing that his feet were near her face he took his free leg and kicked the pokemon twice via double kick and tried to get it to release it's grip on him. However he knew it may be futile since this pokemon was larger and stronger than him. A feeling of dread soon began to wash over him.

That…thing just kept on kicking her. Annoying. Once more, she hissed, when those kicks found her face. But she held on, regardless. That little Rabbit was not getting away from her. In fact, now that it was so close and already singed from her previous attack, she was going to simply double down on that and use yet another venoshock at it, in the hopes that all that poison would eventually bring it down properly.

It couldn’t keep that up forever, after all. In the meantime, there was another loud, different hiss and a charred Ekans fell from a miniature water tower, just electrocuted. Two by two were left in this battle royal. And the Octazookas were suspiciously quiet, at least for the time being.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Oh lord, what was that noi- Scorbunny's thoughts were interrupted by the venoshock. One by one the pokemon started to fall like dominoes as the battles were drawing to a close. Scorbunny was getting more and more desperate, fire wouldn't work on this opponent, his fighting moves wouldn't work and he was already caught. So much for a luck rabbit's foot. [break][break]

However it seemed that his luck turned around, sorta. The octozookas were aimed for both scorbunny and salandit covering and inking both of them in the eyes. Scorbunny growing even more irritated with this grew even faster, unleashing a barrage of kick's on the salandit's hands with quick attack, repeatedly kicking at the lizard to let it go. [break][break]

However his kicks grew weaker and weaker with each blow as the barrage of attacks hitting it and the poison were wearing down on him.
