"one on one is fine."

she was a bit surprised to see the young Rocket actually in Rocket. but she did not have a very motherly role toward children. not like she had to Pokémon. to each their own.

taking her place on stage, Siobhan gestured for Eris to begin. she'd only take out her Pokémon if the other did so first. calculating all the moves she could use, the species available to her...

well, it was battle prep.

such a polite young lady.

"Nevermore." Siobhan says quietly to the Pokeball she had plucked out, the new Murkrow being gifted a chance. she threw the sphere, casting the bird out. it squawked in welcome to the Mareep before the human uttered an order.

"Sucker Punch." the little crow shot forward, aiming a darkened cheap shot at the Mareep. the type disadvantage was there, electricity versus flying... but Siobhan hoped the added dark type would give some sway.

Nevermore's attack hit a fluffy target. the bird squawked in surprise before Siobhan whistled from behind, indicating to keep up the attacks. it aimed a Wing Attack at the Mareep instead, being so close to its target. the woman watched with soft amusement, wondering how this fight would go.

the avian was hit dead on.

squawking in pain due to her typing, Nevermore backed away from the Mareep. she more or less flapped erratically until distance was placed. "Foul Play." said Siobhan from behind.

the bird looked like it would refuse for a split second, not wishing to get that close again. it was a new Pokémon to her team, so she could not blame the hesitation. trust had to be built.

nonetheless, the Pokemon shot forward, trying to use it's dark type attack.

Nevermore got hit again, but this time with a non-damaging effective move. it became paralyzed. shudders of electricity coursed through her body. she was unable to act that turn, her Foul Play stopped short as she dealt with the pain. it left her open for an attack.

the Signal Beam was enough.

Nevermore fell from it, curly swirls in her eyes as she fainted. Siobhan was quick to recall the Murkrow to prevent further damage. "I lost." it was not a defeated statement though. her smile was thin but her eyes amused.

there was no hope to continue her win-streak indefinitely. she had to fall sometime; let it be from a child - bright eyed and bushy tailed. "thank you for the match" Siobhan adds to the girl.
