The tournament had really spared no expense in their setup, thought Cardamom. They had an arena set up specifically for these newfangled "rotation battles," with large rotating platforms set up with spaces for her Pokemon to stand on. She had a remote that could be used to rotate another Pokemon in faster than normal switching could, and apparently it was rated for the heaviest possible Pokemon. From the fact that it wasn't even creaking where Banana Bread stood, it seemed like that was true. Now all that was left was to see who their opponent would be.[break][break]

While grass against water seemed like a clear advantage on her side, two of those had secondary types that would negate that. Not to mention the fact that Cloyster had an advantage against her whole team-a double advantage against Banana Bread, in fact. Still, she definitely planned to take advantage of getting the first move. Rotating Coconut into position, she called out "Leech Seed!" A good opener, one that worked equally well against almost any kind of opponent.[break][break]

Coconut let out a surprised squeak as the icicle came flying towards her, smashing into her and leaving her grassy pelt mostly frosted over. However, despite her shivering, she managed to stay standing. Cardamom looked indecisive for a moment, then quickly pressed the button, rotating Biff into place. "Sleep Spore!" she yelled. While it wasn't the official name of that move, it made it much clearer which one she wanted the Paras to utilize. The mushrooms on his back plumped up, and he swept a claw forwards, sending the sleep-inducing spores at the giant sea serpent in front of him.

"Sorry, Biff!" called Cardamom. Coconut was already injured, and Banana Bread doubly weak to ice. The Paras raised a claw in a hopefully understanding salute before he was frozen solid, icicles dripping down his shell. At least he'd made a pretty impressive pose before that.[break][break]
Cardamom rotated him out to let him thaw, bringing Coconut back in. "Take your health back!" called Cardamom. Understanding, the Skiddo immediately dove forwards with a Horn Leech attack, aiming to draw out health from whoever she struck.

Coconut seemed a bit more steady on her feet now, after having leeched some of the energy from Blastoise. However, the blizzard raging around her soon sapped away more of that regained health, nearly driving her to her knees. Squinting through the ice, she focused, tiny Razor Leaves appearing around her and swishing forwards, flying half-blind through the snow to drive at her opponent.

Eventually, Coconut's healing would no longer be able to keep up with her opponents' super-effective damage. She was swaying on her hooves now, looking less and less steady by the moment. However, she pawed at the platform nonetheless, still determined to to her best to the bitter end. "Leave them something to remember you by!" called Cardamom. Coconut nodded in understanding, firing off one last Leech Seed in hopes of leaving a lasting mark on this opponent as well.

[attr="class","matias"]LEECH SEED has been a real pain over the course of the battle. because of it, all three of his pokemon are weaker than they need to be. so imagine their annoyance when the LEECH SEED is refreshed.
