the LEAF TORNADO blows blastoise off the platform. she's recalled before she can hit the ground, however, but that's her effectively out of the battle.

the pain causes gyarados to wake up, and after the platform rotates, she finally enters the battle with a HYPER BEAM.

Well, that was one worrisome Ice-type attack out of the way. Banana Bread's bulk meant that the Hyper Beam wasn't as damaging as it might have been to one of his smaller teammates, but it did still leave steam rising off his body where it hurt. He snorted as he stared down at the Gyarados, before turning his head back towards Cardamom, as if asking for permission. She blinked, then nodded. "Full steam ahead!" she declared.[break][break]
Banana Bread turned back towards his opponents, and with a ponderous roar charged forwards, ready to Body Slam the Gyarados into the ground...hopefully, the platform would hold up even against that.

[attr="class","matias"]is it kinda cheating if the gyarados is rotated away to RECHARGE? possibly. but matias takes advantage of the lack of clear rules and pushes the button just in time for the BODY SLAM to connect against the cloyster instead.

It didn't seem like there were any referees around to jump out of the woodwork and cry foul, so Cardamom let that pass. Of course, the next attack hit much harder, the crashing ice hitting hard enough to bring the Tropius down, leafy wings frosted over. Hissing, Cardamom rotated her last combatant into view-the finally thawed Biff. Shaking off the droplets of water, he frowned at his opponent before sending another Spore cloud forwards, trying to put this troublesome oyster to bed.

the platform rotates once again, bringing the gyarados back into the fray.

HYPER BEAM would've been overkill — maybe even a little mean — so matias decides on something less flashy.

coiling up, gyarados lashes out to CRUNCH down on the other.

"Giga Drain!" called Cardamom. Even as the Gyarados' teeth were about to close down on him, the Paras raised both claws to jab them into his opponent, draining energy from it as fast as he could, hopefully enough to offset the damage. He knew that it was unlikely he could win against two fully evolved Pokemon, but he still wanted to try and fight back the best he could.

the GIGA DRAIN isn't enough to faint the gyarados, but the LEECH SEED is. the water-type faints, recalled swiftly after.

finally, it's down to their last pokemon each.
