Despite that the oddly colored honchkrow had only been hit once by an attack during the course of this battle thus far, the effects of brave bird made it as if he was hit twice already. His body arched in protest as he attempted to flee, using the cover of icy wind to get some distance between him and the mighty dragon. Although it seemed that his attempt to slow the dragon down worked, it also further angered the Hydreigon.

A sudden boisterous roar erupted from the dragon, sending shock waves of sound in all direction. The noise even made Maverick flinch, hands rose swiftly to cover his ears form the harsh noise. His gaze however, was on his bird whom flight altered for a moment as the air under his wings shifted to the sound. More pain rippled through him, body tensed as he braved the blunt force of the Hyper Voice shock waves.

And just as the sounds began to dissipate, Maverick wasted no time barking out another command. “Dark pulse!”

The avian creature whipped himself around, hovering in flight. His chest, expanded with the inhale. The dark aura swirled within him, feeling the darkness rise. And when ready, his beak burst open to let loose a beam. The beam clouded in black and purple energy shot at his opponent in the matter of moments. Although Maverick knew the attack wouldn’t effect the partial dark type dragon, there was another reason behind the attack if it hit.

Despite the successful hit of the dark pulse on the dragon, the burnt scarred trainer was hoping that dragon would make a mistake in the mix of his rage. Although it did indeed make the dragon angrier and suddenly blankly attack, the dragon rush that swiftly closed the gap between his avian and the beast wasn’t something Maverick really wanted. Truthfully, the trainer wanted some other attack like dragon pulse or dragon breath. Both would have been preferred over dragon rush. With his pink feather creature only a few attacks away from passing out, seeing distance would have been a better strategy to keep him in until the dragon was out. But alas, that wasn’t the option.

The dragon and dark type came in hot, body surrounded in the beast of dragons energy. Maverick and Marrow had to act fast, not knowing what was about to comes. “Fight it head on with Mirror Move!” Maverick shouted, feeling himself became tense. This was it. If they collided, the one who was left standing was the winner or their first match. The man prayed it would be his avian that stood the victor, seeing as the dragon has taken so much more super effect hits than his own creature. Dragons, however, were on a whole other level. A level that many non dragon’s have a hard time reaction. Maverick held his breath.

Marrok rushed forward as swiftly as he could, fight the aches and pains his body threw at him in protest in his action. His body mimicked the Hydreigon, becoming engulfed in the same powerful beastly energy of a dragon. His aim was just as the dragon’s, heading straight for each other in a head on collision to see how would be the last creature standing. Bird or Dragon.
