Doug Sullivan was in the safari for one reason, and one reason alone.

"Where are 'em goddamn noodles?" The youth said with a grin as he looked around, having heard an unusual amount of Dratini had been seen wandering in the safari for the past month or so.

He had also heard there were Wailmers about. Maybe he would catch one or two for skyler dross and angelo vestri...

Doug squinted at the tiny, itty bitty pathetic little cry baby of a fish, lips pursed.

"Yeah... Nah." He said, reaching into the water to pat the little fish in the head. "Sorry little guy, ya wouldn't last a second in skyler dross's Salty Spitoon."

As if to prove him wrong, several hundred of them popped out of nowhere and proceeded to school up, towering over the youth.

Dear lord, this thing was adorable.

Doug crouched in front of the little octopus, cooing as he poked him in the forehead, the little fella swinging wildly (and innefectively) at his arm, missing completely.

"Oh... Oh dear." Muttered Doug, cupping his cheek. He wondered if this would make an alright gift...?

No, no, don't waste pokeballs.

"Sorry little fella, perhaps next time." He said, standing up and walking past the little guy.

after somehow managing to rise over the basic human need for cute stuff, Doug waved good bye to the Clobbopus before promptly tripping near the lake side and face planting into the water.

Sinking in.

A moment later, the youth came bursting out of the water with a scream, clinging onto a large sea serpent.

Er, that is to say, a Dratini.

"... Oi, this is what I was looking for!" The youth observed, before wiggling his way up the length of its body to his face in front the dragon's, grinning. "Oi, think ya could come with me, Lil's fella?"

With a new friend in tow, Doug continued his journey through the safari while riding the dragon's back, exploring the lake's depths.

An Inkay colony could be seen in the distance as they swam. Not what he was looking for however.

He decided to keep looking.

And there it was. The absolutely chonk of a unit that skyler dross couldn't seem to get enough of.

"Bingo." Doug muttered as he patted his little buddy on the side, prompting it to jet forward towards the balloon whale as it lazily floated over the Lake's surface.

"Hyoup!" Shouted Doug as he leapt off the dragon and onto the unsuspecting whale upon getting close, splatting atop it spread eagled with a grin.

"Hello, friend~."

Friend acquired. Now on his own mini-flotilla, the youth floated along the lake atop his wailmer, his dratini making circles around them.

A little Wimpod came nearby, playfully following the Dratini, and Doug grinned, but he didn't try to capture it.

Perhaps next time, little guy.
