the vs seeker function matches kyle with someone named anna. the last name was not important since it's not like he'll meet anna again after this match. if he does, he can just claim ignorance and said he forgot.

the location of their match gets flagged and he goes there. at the site, he sees her waiting, meaning he arrived second. he wonders if he made her wait a lot, but decides not to bring up the topic in case it bites him in the ass.

"hello anna," he greets as he approaches. "wanna do a quick match?"

he picks out a pokeball and releases his lycanroc. the dusk form would've been his favorite since it has doritos colored fur and mountain dew eyes, but midnight lycanroc wins just because he has arms that he can use.

"you can have the first move if you want."

someone has to offer it and kyle figures he might as well be the one to get things moving fast.

kyle sees that anna has the better lycanroc. in a statless rp, having arms are definitely better.

"stone edge!"

he knows his own lycanroc was agitated from the taunt. before it can act on its own, kyle figures he might as well give it a move instead of waiting for it to get actually taunted.

from a distance away, the lycanroc stomps its front paws to the ground. stone edges erupt underneath the other one.

Hades howls, throwing his head back and baring his teeth. He watches as the other dog stomps its paws into the ground, splintering rock to send flying at him. Rather than dodge, he does the opposite. He seems to smirk, sprinting forward.[break][break]

As the rocks come in contact, he COUNTERS them, using the advantage of having arms to smash and redirect them back at him.

he knew it's going to bite him in the butt sometime if he pits a pokemon without arms against a pokemon with one.

the counter hits the lycanroc in the head. it gets angry because dogs get angry when you hit them and charges in since it's already taunted anyways.

kyle clicks his tongue and tries to salvage the situation. "crunch."

when the lycanroc approaches the lycanroc after its mad dash, the first thing it does is bite an arm. it's the source of it's power so it must be eliminated, the lycanroc thought.

That is.. in fact.. quite smart. Remove the arms and you remove the advantage, probably. But by getting up close and personal with a dog that prefers to be up close and personal, you should have thick skin.[break][break]

The midnight-forme Lycanroc growls loudly as fangs embed themselves in his arm. But he hesitates for only a moment, perhaps reveling in the pain. Was that weird? That was probably weird.[break][break]

And then he kicks back hard, clobbering the mutt with a CLOSE COMBAT.

the lycanroc tries to show off its tough claws this time.

it does the awkward dog standing on hind legs position and tries to copy the stance of the midnight lycanroc on its own. it paws away every strike with accelerock, trying to parry the strikes away with a quick strike each time.

it looks dumb, but it's the lycanroc's way of trying to defend itself while looking for an opportunity to attack.

the lycanroc gets its opening and now strikes again with stone edge underneath them.

it just nearly affects him too, but since he's the one using the move, he should be immune to it.

rocks jut out from the earth and attempt to attack the other lycanroc with it.

Stones jump up from the ground suddenly, jabbing him in the stomach. The red Lycanroc doubles over, breaking apart from his fellow, now-two-legged counterpart to catch his breath. Given the suddenness of the attack, he doesn't retaliate.

the lycanroc waits for the other one to make the move after making a distance between themselves, seemingly thinking the same thing as its lycanroc brethren.

kyle decides to break the monotony.

"just accelerock again."

the lycanroc dashes with blinding speed towards the midnight lycanroc, encasing himself with a layer of stone to brace himself from the high-velocity impact.

He can't keep taking hits like this. Beaten back, bruised, maybe even bloody, the Lycanroc shields itself with a shimmering PROTECT seconds before the ACCELEROCK makes contact. Given the last-minuteness of his actions, part of the attack still bleeds through. He crumbles to one knee, pushing his opponent back as the shield depletes. He's winded, out of breath, prime for picking.

the conclusion of the match has finally presented itself.

"that was nice. cute doggy by the way."

he recalls the beaten lycanroc back to its ball.

"i'll go now then. don't want to hold you much longer than necessary."

he talks under the assumption that everyone else is busy within the crunch time and everyone's looking for last minute fights. kyle was the same, and he wouldn't want to be rude or anything.
