This time he was followed by a Sigilpyh—a Pokémon that reminded him so much of home.

However, going through the Desert Resort was never fun. Especially if you got stuck in the sand a lot. Gross.

Either way, Alexei was hanging around one of the empty arenas, watching the dual-type hovering around and generally being a big-ass derpy kite while leaning on his crutch.

Ugh, limited mobility sucked!

Another pinkette came into range today, and this time it was fellow Gym Leader of the type he was secretly afraid of (well, one of two, because one was Ghost and the other one was…) before looking at his quiet companion.

“Sigilyph. Common sight around desert ruins back in my home region of Unova,” he explained before the strange, big-ass kite…thing…turned around and stared at Melody.

He noticed she had an Oricorio—ooh, nice choice.

“That what I’m up against today?”

Melody looked back at the pokemon, sigilyph eh? "Si-gi-lyph.." she tries to pronounce out loud, he accent slipping if only for a moment. "Oup, you didn't hear that." she said to him as her oricorio was moving around strangely behind her doing some dancing moves "Yep! This is Sese! One of my dancer squad pokemon!" she explained. She moved over to the battle arena "You ready?" she extended her hand over to him and nodded that he was allowed to have the first move, she wanted to see what this thing had!

And right then and there the Sigilyph let rip with an Air Slash attack from long range once the starting whistle had gone off, signifying the match had begun!

“Jumping the gun now are we?” he said to the dual-type, who bobbed up and down meaning ‘yes’.

Sensu oricorio AND melody were surprised at the sudden attack and got slammed by the air slashes. But melody was ready to regain her tempo and called out her own move "Mirror move oricorio!" She ordered as Oricorio sent out a barrage of air slashes via the little fans on the tip of it's wings. [break][break]

"Woah! That thing is fast! Guess the advantage of not having a face is I cant read it's expression?" she said a lil starstruck...she wanted one now.

It was naught but a light breeze, however—

A sudden explosion of rainbow-colored energy came right afterward, a Psychic attack!

The airslash hit! Yes! However it was a short lived small victory as a psychic attack flew out towards Sensu oricorio. What the heck?! this thing was Psychic too? Would explain all the bright strange colors on it, it reminded her of her bruxish. But if it was a psychic type then! "Oricorio! Revelation dance!" she ordered [break][break]

Sensu oricorio began to dance and a purple fiery energy radiated off of the oriociro, sending a chill down anyone's spin as a ghostly spirit attacked Sigilyph.

He’d seen his Pom-Pom and Pa’u dance, but never his Sensu Oricorio.

So for him to see Melody’s own Oricorio use Revelation Dance, well, he was suddenly reminded of why he was maybe more than afraid of that particular one he owned.

“Don’t be cowed!” he continued, before the Sigilpyh decided to Mirror the Move as well, sending out the exact same ghoulish spirits back at the Oricorio, even if it didn’t know how to dance.

The sad part about sensu oricorio's typing is the fact that it's weak to it's own typing, so the super effective damage that Oricorio just unleashed on sigilyph was sent RIGHT back to her as she had a chill go down her spine that would even make giratina blush.[break][break]

"Oricorio quickly! Use captivate!" now this move was one heck of a doozey, she didn't like to use it when people were watching her gym challenges because...well children shouldn't have been around to see this nonsense. Oricorio began to dance around seductively to try and weaken sigilyph's resolve to fight.

The expression on Alexei’s face changed from wonder to outright aghast shock.

“What—the—fuck?!” he exclaimed as he saw the Oricorio ‘dirty dancing’ in the Sigilyph’s direction, embarrassed at the display.

Okay, I know what move not to teach them! he took mental notes of, and while the Sigilyph didn’t have a visible face, he was easily distressed at the… sight!

Instead of Mirroring the move, another Air Slash came ripping through.

The only thing filling her mind right now were thoughts of regret. Oh god that's right what made it even worse is this oricorio was the male one and that she was being judged by onlookers. Her face turned red as all hell and she covered her face as she was sure the tabloids would talk about this. "Oricorio! Get in close with pluck!" she ordered as Oricorio got slammed by the airslash at first, but once it recovered dashed in close to Sigilyph and tried to poke it's face incessently.

Alexei was definitely feeling the same embarrassment Melody was.

Holy shit! was all he could think of as the Sigilpyh gathered its strength and tried to fling another Psychic blast of energy.

However, the Sigilpyh had to fly lower in order to attack, and therefore got nipped at by the Oricorio who decided to come up close and personal this time.

The sensu oricorio grabbed onto Sigilyph and began to dance with it in the air as she forced it to dance with her a deathly dance as ghostly spirits surrounded the two of them and attacked sigilyph's body, filling its mind with the sights it just witnessed to also throw a little bit of trauma on top of that attack.

Unfortunately—Alexei saw… everything.

With how low his Sigilpyh hovered, it took all but a simple attack for it to be…literally dragged down into the depths ~~of hell~~ of trauma as the Revelation Dance, combined with the earlier shocking, scandalous ‘dirty dancing’ from the Captivate attack, was more than enough to overload its senses.

And right then and there the Sigilyph landed with a big splat on the ground. Death by embarrassment? Highly likely!

Sigilyph is knocked out due to sheer embarrassment! Melody wins!
