It wasn’t to long for the pair came across a creature. Azula was the first to spot the golden cat in the distance, napping in the morning sun rays. The trainer placed a finger over his mouth, indicating they needed to be sneaky. Both the man and canine got low to the ground, moving to be down winds of the creature to not be detected. Warm gaze flickered over the creature, taking notes that it was indeed shiny.

And when close enough, the trainer snatched an empty safari ball and gave it a toss. The ball hit the top of the cat’s head, sucking the creature in before the wild pokemon had time to even waking up. The ball closed behind it, falling to the ground with a light thud. Maverick grinned, standing up from his hiding spot and approached the ball. “One down, three more to go.” Azula let out a snort, long arrowed tail wagged. Once the capture was successful, the two would move on to the next.

With the successful capture of the golden cub, the pair moved on to find another creature to capture before their time would run out. Azula’s continued to sniff, nostrils flared as she tried to find a scent to follow. That was, until something rustled a brush a few feet to their right.

Maverick’s brow rose, hearing a slow hiss emitting from the brush. Azula’s head lifted off the ground, ruby eyes darted to the same noise brush. A low growl rumbled in her chest, nose scrunched to show a glimpse of her teeth. This made the brush hiss louder and more anterior, clearly not happy with them.

Reaching into his pocket, the man plucked another empty safari ball. His gaze flickered to Azula, motioning for her to move. The canine crept closer, getting lower to the ground with each step. And when close enough, she leaped into the mean brush.

A oddly colored meowth jumped out from the other side, running from the canine. It was so busy looking behind it to see if the canine was following to noticed a trainer straight in front of it. Maverick let out a chuckle, tossing the ball at the cat when it was within feet of him. Their plan worked perfectly.

The scarred man plucked the ball off the ground, smirking at the capture before putting it in his pocket. Crimson colored orbs flickered over the vast wilderness of the safari zone, spotting something blue moving just ahead. His eyes widen, knowing what it was and chasing after the pup.

“Azula,” the man huffed as they chased, “Stop it!” The canine darted infant of the shiny pokemon, forcing it to stop in place. She growled, the pup freezing like a deerling in headlights. “Perfect,” he whispered under his breath, tossing the ball in an attempt to capture the creature before it could flee.

Shortly after the successful capture of the blue canine, his gaze flickered to an all black one sleeping underneath a large tree in the shade. A brow rose, there was something interesting in its color. Although the man wasn’t the type to capture random creatures to keep, he couldn’t help but want the dark furred canine. His gaze shifted to his beloved houndoom, a single finger rose to his lips to indicated a sneak attack. That finger lifted off his lips then pointed to the peaceful furfrou a several feet away. Azula’s gaze followed her trainer’s motion, spotting the canine.

The pair slowly moved closer, being careful not to make too much noise and stay down wind of the canine. And when they were close enough, Maverick tossed his last remained safari ball at the all black canine. The ball tapped the top of its head, waking it up but sucking the creature into it before it could reacted. The capsule closed, falling to the earth with a gentle thud. It wiggled but soon gave up. “Well,” he mumbled, snatching the ball off the ground, “That’s it. We are done.” His gaze turned to Azula who had her tongue out panting. “Let’s head home.”
