[break][break] the league seargent decides to take a break after a while, sitting on a wooden bench beneath some sakura blossoms. she pulls out her phone, taking a selfie and then sending it to one Sol Edelman.

[break][break] however, a small mew sounds as a wild shinx bounds onto her lap, pawing at her. callie blinks.

[break][break] skoll barks at it, but the wild pokemon does not seem perturbed at all. it rubs against callie's hand, and the woman decides to capture it.

[break][break] the woman pulls out a packet from inside her jacket — it turns out to be a pair of cookies. she peels the plastic open, handing one to the shinx who eats it up eagerly, and pops the other into her mouth.

[break][break] meanwhile, a group of swirlix hop gleefully down the path in front of them, one right after the other, looking like a parade of cotton candy clouds.

[break][break] a paw presses into her thigh and she looks down into the beaming gaze of her newly-caught shinx.

[break][break] only to stare at the shiny lump of fur in it's teeth.

[break][break] still alive.

[break][break] callie grimaces, hand splayed out as the rattata is handed over to her. she puts it in a pokeball, only so she doesn't have to look at it.

[break][break] the shinx seems so proud of himself though, so she can't bear to let him down. awkwardly, she pats him on the head.
