Raki's return

Raki seemed about ready to jump a little Bergmite's bones after it made the terrible decision of appearing before them, but a sharp whistle from the blonde stopped him in his tracks with a flinch.

After the tournament, and more importantly, the 'battle' with angelo vestri, Gwyar had seen what Raki lacked.

It was not training... it was discipline. Courtesy. He lacked the mentality of a Lucario.

Gwyar had taught him how to fight. Now he had to teach the little puppy how to think.

"Why are you attacking him, Raki?" He questioned the puppy.

Raki immediately went to bark, swinging a fist.

"And what do you gain from pummeling a baby pokemon?" The man asked, scratching at his chin thoughtfully.

Raki faltered at that.

"There's no strength or learning to be gained from this battle. It would just be beating on the weak."

The puppy's arms reluctantly returned to his sides, his gaze falling to the floor conflictedly.

Seeing as nothing was happening, the Bergmite continued onwards on its merry way, leaving the two behind.

"Let us continue, Raki." The man said, and the puppy began to march once again.

Raki's return

A more worthy opponent appeared as they advanced deeper into the caverns.

It was not ideal, as it lacked limbs, but that also made it an opponent worth fighting; not every pokemon would engage Raki in CQC.

"Raki." The man spoke, interrupting the little puppy as he stepped up to scrap with the water-type. "Courtesy."

The puppy blinked up at the man, scratching at the back of his head before turning towards the Cloyster, who simply stood there and eyed them in silence.

'scrap?' He mimed to the other pokemon.

'scrap.' The other pokemon essentially responded with a nod.

Several moments later, a panting Raki stood over the Cloysters, fist raised in the air. His opponent was not unconcious just yet, but had lost their will to fight.

Courtesy demanded Raki lower his fists down and allow them to leave...

Before such a thing could happen however, a pokeball sailed over the puppy and bonked the water-type in the head, trapping it inside itself.

"Well done, Raki." The blonde man praised as he walked up to the puppy, plucking the puppy off the floor before looking him over. "You've earned your rest, I suppose."

Raki had a battle, and Gwyar something for the trade market. They had what they came for, plus an extra. As good a time as any to leave.

"Let us return, then." He said, before pausing. "Ah... best we go check up on our little carrot tree first, isn't it?"
