a cat would cross her path, but she was uninterested in it. Siobhan would turn away as the Meowth glanced at the human, wide eyes and waving tail. but when it was apparent the woman was not a threat, it'd continue on it's way.

it was another disappointment. the Shinx this time would snarl at her, but she stood her ground. simply watching as the little feline finished, Siobhan turned an unblinking gaze at the land around them. taking the chance to scoot away, the Shinx vanished and left the Galarian woman alone.

a gentle woof echoed in the air. Siobhan turns, spotting the Furfrou. ah, one of the ones she had come to collect. but the canine boasted an ebony coat, marking it as a Shiny. it approached her without fear, eyeing the woman up and down.

"hello" Siobhan says to it, refusing to insult the Pokemon by bending down to it's level. gently, she would reach out to attempt a pet. the Furfrou stood still, allowing it. perhaps it was fate; or just dumb luck.

the poodle was not fearful in any way. if it had been feral, Siobhan would have earned a bite. by giving it respect, the Furfrou gave it in return. it dips its head at her, noticing the Safari Balls. "do you want to come along?"

the question lingered a brief moment before the canine walked forward and pressed its head against a spare sphere. engulfed in light, the poodle vanished. but the sphere still shook a bit on her belt - and Siobhan wondered if it would take.

/befriend attempt

after befriending the captured Furfrou, a rat scurried through her legs. she watched it go, faintly amused at the frantic movements. as she pocketed the full sphere, Siobhan gazed to where it had gone before following. she kept a distance before the purple rat vanished from view. picking up her pace, she squatted down to see where it had gone.

a being would shoot out of the brush. Siobhan marks it as an electric type by the speed, confirming when the canine would stop and bark at her from a distance. as she stood up to face it, the Electrike would dart off. it left her relatively alone, if not for the wild Pokemon in the area. she blinks once before continuing her search.

fate was funny.

the Swirlix reminded her of her newly acquired Shiny one, now evolved into a Slurpuff. as it approached her, tilting its thick head, she would wave to it. the Swirlix chirps happily before scooting off. if the woman wasn't here to catch it, it'd find someone who would!

Siobhan watched it go before continuing her search.
